Marvel at this Incredible Hulk Bookcase

Hulk ANGRY! Hulk SMASH! Hulk READ! Hmmm, actually I’m not too sure about that last part. Though we do know that Bruce Banner is a brilliant doctor and nuclear physicist, so he probably is quite well-read. So what better place for Dr. Banner to keep his books safe from his fits of radioactive rage than inside this Hulk bookcase?

hulk bookcase

It’s made by Whittled in Wood – the same folks behind the epic AT-AT bookcase, and made from birch plywood. Though from everything I can tell, there was no whittling involved, but I’m not going to argue with the Hulk. Naturally, it’s been painted in Hulk green – which I think should really be a standard paint color at the hardware store – along with Iron Man Red, Batman Black, and The Tick Blue.

The Incredible Hulk Bookcase sells for $800(USD) over on Etsy.

Amigurumi Iron Man: Stark-craft

Experience the softer side of Tony Stark with this awesome Iron Man amigurumi. He is completely adorable and also nicely detailed.

As you can see in the picture, Iron Man’s mask even flips up. As a bonus the helmet also comes off completely, revealing Tony’s head and he even has facial hair. Hug him, squeeze him, cuddle with him in bed. It’s all good. No one will know what a softy you are.

He’s the cutest Avenger. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to get all of that detail. In the end he turned out perfect. I wish I had one to put on the shelf and admire for myself.

Thor Mjölnir Bookend Lets You Hammer in the Library

Thor’s mighty hammer can take down enemies and destroy massive structures with a single swing. But now it can also be used to keep your bookshelf tidy too.

Thor Lightning Energy Hammer

thor-energy-hammerI am quite sure that the legions of fans of what Marvel Studios has done with their comic book franchises will be looking forward to the arrival of the Thor sequel, where it will be known as The Dark World. The Norse god of Thunder, Thor, has been reunited with Mjolnir, the mystical uru hammer that cannot be lifted by anyone other than the one who is worthy to wield it. However, everything has its price, which is why for just $24.99, you will be able to pick up the Thor Lightning Energy Hammer. Sure, it might not be the actual Mjolnir, but at the very least you could get your imagination going, can’t you?

The Thor Lightning Energy Hammer will be able to flash with light and sound of its own, but you are able to add your very own vocal sound effects if you wish to do so, letting out the inner child in you along the way. It might not be able to cut down Frost Giants with impunity, but it does double up as a metal detector, sporting a light-up display base with an energy charge coin that bears Thor’s emblem. Powered by a couple of AAA batteries instead of magic, any kid worth his or her salt would definitely want to have this by their bedside table – and some adults too, I believe.

Batman Zing! Whammo! Pows! his way to YouTube’s top superhero spot (video)

DNP Batman beats out every other superhero on YouTube

Bruce Wayne may be on permanent vacation with Selina Kyle, but that hasn’t stopped Batman from topping YouTube’s list of most popular superheroes. Based on views and amount of content, the Dark Knight is number one, racking up 3 billion pairs of eyes on 71,000 hours of video. That’s 213 trillion hours you spent watching the antics of a flying rodent with daddy issues — or roughly 42,000 views per hour of footage. More surprising than that though, is who came in second place. It wasn’t Spider-Man (seventh with 340 million views of 7,400 hours of video) or Tony Stark (fourth with 1.7 billion views of 20,000 hours of video). If you heard thunder, you heard right. Thor has 2.1 billion views and 66,000 hours of video, but only around 32,000 views per hour of tape. What does it all mean? Mjolnir’s owner is around 33 percent less popular (views per hour) than Gotham’s First Son — and he’s a god. Ouch.

That Bats has a pair of killer video games benefiting from repeat walkthrough viewings probably helps, but we imagine clips like what’re after the break do the actual heavy lifting. If you want to see if your favorite made the cut, hit YouTube’s blog from the source link below.

First Full View of the New X-Men Sentinel: Holy Crap They Nailed It

Earlier this week the first images of Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask surfaced for Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. In addition to that tidbit of news, Singer tweeted out the following pic of a Trask-built Sentinel.

Spider-Man Boat: Leaves a Wake, Any Size

What does Spidey do when he tires of swinging from skyscrapers and working for the Daily Bugle? He likes to take some time away, on his speed boat. His Spidey speed boat.

spider man boat 1

The problem is, this boat makes him stick out like a sore thumb and all of the villains also have boats, so they take it to the water and battle it out in an epic Marvel-meets-Waterworld event that should really be a blockbuster movie. However since nobody is out there to see it, it really doesn’t matter.

It always ends with Spidey getting a call on his cell from Aunt May, having to head back into the city and pick up some groceries.

Spider-Man Spidey Sense T-Shirt: My Wallet is Tingling!

Spider-Man’s Spider Sense alerts him to danger and allows his body to react on its own to avoid attacks. Thinkgeek’s Tingling Electronic Spidey Sense T-shirt on the other hand only alerts you when someone – or something – is behind you. But at least you don’t have to get bit by – or look for – a radioactive spider.

Actually there’s nothing special about the T-shirt itself. It comes with a clip-on proximity sensor that also has motors to make it vibrate. When someone approaches at least 5ft. behind you, the device will emit a pulse, emulating Spider-Man’s power. The pulses become more frequent the closer someone is to you. Wait… is this a naughty toy?

I wonder if it will still work if you wear it under a hoodie.

thinkgeek spider man spider sense t shirt 3You can pre-order the t-shirt from ThinkGeek for $40 (USD). It won’t be released until October, but I have a feeling it’ll be sold out way before then. I bet tinkerers will be selling replicas of the gadget online before we know it.
