Mass Effect N7 Leather Jacket: Omni-cool

You can easily find replicas of the leather jacket that male Commander Shepard wears during off days in Mass Effect 3. But this April BioWare is going to release an official and limited edition of the casual wear.

The jacket will be made of lambskin leather and will even come with an N7-embroidered garment bag. It will also come with a voucher for a hoodie, although BioWare did not say exactly what hoodie buyers will get. Careful BioWare. The hoodie may not live up to people’s expectations. It may not be the hoodie that they’re expecting to receive after all these years. Next thing you know you’re being blasted with #RetaketheHoodie and petitions to change the hoodie online.

Only 600 jackets will be sold, so place your order at the BioWare Store ASAP. It costs $475 (USD), which isn’t so bad when you consider you’re getting three items in one. Just don’t expect too much from the hoodie okay?

Bioware Considering Mass Effect Trilogy for PS4 and Xbox One

With a new generation of consoles we can look forward to games from the last generation getting some remastered versions. And one of the better franchises that showed up last gen are the Mass Effect games. BioWare has confirmed that it is thinking about releasing the Mass Effect trilogy on PS4 and Xbox One.

This news comes from Aaryn Flynn, general manager for BioWare Edmonton and Montreal. A fan on Twitter asked if the trilogy was being considered for the new consoles and Flynn confirmed that it had been discussed internally.

So at least they are thinking about it. And they know that fans would eat it up too. All of the DLCs would probably be bundled in too. If they do release it, you can expect the visuals to get a boost to take advantage of the improved hardware. Since Mass Effect 4 is in the works, this would be a great move to get more fans into the franchise.

Remastered Mass Effect Trilogy Being Considered For PS4/Xbox One

Remastered Mass Effect Trilogy Being Considered For PS4/Xbox OneOne of the benefits of getting a next-gen consoles like the Sony PlayStation 4 or the Microsoft Xbox One is the fact that you will be able to look forward to better graphics.

Of course gameplay matters just as much as graphics, if not more, but then again having amazing graphics will attract gamers to the game even if they’ve never heard of it before.

That being said, gamers might be interested to learn that there is a chance that the Mass Effect Trilogy could be remastered for consoles like the Xbox One and the PS4. This is according to a recent tweet by BioWare’s Aaryn Flynn who responded to a question by a fan, asking if the studio would considered a remastering of the game. (more…)

Mass Effect 4 Is Already Playable

Mass Effect 4 Is Already PlayableFans of the Mass Effect game series, listen up! You might be extremely pleased to hear that the next version of the game, which would be Mass Effect 4 (or at least that is what we know at this moment since nothing else is forthcoming), happens to be ambling along far enough down the road to be a playable title. How do we know this? Well, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn did comment over on Twitter that he has been spending some time playing with it, and his tweet read, “Great time playing the next Mass Effect game in Montreal. Ambitious. Beautiful. Fresh but recognizable. And fun.”

Right now, BioWare Montreal are the ones who is developing the next Mass Effect title. While the design document happens to be complete, there is very little else heard about it. What do we actually know about the game then? Well, it will not have Shepard in the game, and it will run on the Frostbite 2 engine which would see it share several in-game mechanics with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Does this mean that the next Mass Effect game will lean more towards the traditional RPG line than a shooter? Only time will tell.

BioWare Hopes To Share More Mass Effect Details In 2014

BioWare Hopes To Share More Mass Effect Details In 2014The original conclusion of Mass Effect 3 left much to be desired, so much so that the developers had to release an update that extended the ending which hopefully gave players a better conclusion. Now if you were worried that would be the end of the franchise, it’s not as BioWare has confirmed that a new Mass Effect game has been planned for either 2014 or 2015. Now the bad news for those who tuned in to the Spike TV VGX over the weekend was that there was no news shared regarding the new Mass Effect game, which we guess many had expected as Mass Effect 3’s trailer debuted back in 2010, but in any case the semi-good news is that if you wanted to learn more about the game, 2014 will probably be your best bet.

This is according to BioWare’s general manager, Aaryn Flynn, who stated that they are hoping that come 2014, the studio will be able to provide gamers with some answers to the future of the franchise. For those unfamiliar with the new Mass Effect game, the franchise will be a departure from the older series and will not be following the previous main character, Commander Shepard whose story basically concluded in Mass Effect 3. Instead we expect we will be getting a new storyline and new characters, but as Flynn stated, chances of us learning more will happen in 2014. Anyone else excited at a new Mass Effect title? Or was Mass Effect 3 the ending you’ve always wanted?

Mass Effect Normandy Baby Stroller: Reaper Babies Watch out!

It’s never too early to get your child into video games. You could seat them beside you as you play, dress them up like your favorite video game characters, even create flash cards that teach them about games and heroes. Another cool way is to build them an awesome stroller like this one here.

This Mass Effect baby stroller was recently spotted at GeekGirlCon ’13 and needless to say, this kid is the most popular on the playground. That stroller looks just like the Normandy and I bet it even goes faster than a normal stroller.

Any video game fan with a little kid wishes they had this to push their baby around in.

Mass Effect Reversible Hoodies: Player Choice

Remember the awesome fan-designed Mass Effect hoodies that BioWare was going to turn into real clothing? These are not those hoodies. But they’re still worth checking out because they’re reversible, which means you’re getting two designs for the price of one.

Etsy seller RetropopsugarUK makes these unofficial hoodies. Just send her your measurements and pick two from Garrus, Thane, Tali, Mordin or Miranda to be used as the designs for your hoodie. You read that right, there’s no Shepard design. I think a Grunt and Wrex combo hoodie would’ve been great too. Perhaps if business takes off RetropopsugarUK will add more designs.

Mass Effect M-6 Carnifex Replica Pistol Is a Krogans Best Friend

If you’re a big fan of the Mass Effect franchise, you’ll undoubtedly remember the M-6 Carnifex pistol. We’ve seen some really cool replicas of weapons from the video game in the past, like the N7 rifle replica, but you couldn’t buy that particular replica. ThinkGeek has a Carniflex replica that you can purchase, if you hurry.

The company has a limited edition of 500 Carnifex replica pistols available for the entire world. The highly detailed replica isn’t exactly cheap at $399.99(USD), but I guarantee you it’s cheaper than having your own replica commissioned. ThinkGeek says that this is a full-scale replica of the game weapon.

The side arm is also an officially licensed Mass Effect 3 collectible and is hand-finished and hand-painted. Its made from Polystone and weighs in at a substantial seven pounds. The replica measures 12.5″(L)x 7.5″(H) x 1.75″(W). It also has working LED lights to give it that deadly glow. You can purchase the pistol right now, but you’d better move fast as there’s no indication of how many have been sold so far.

Black Milk Mass Effect Clothing: The Sexiest Clothes in the Citadel

Black Milk Clothing’s combination of body hugging fit and geeky coating has been a winning formula so far. A lot of people love (being seen) wearing them. Even more people love looking at their product shots. The shop’s officially licensed Mass Effect line is no different.

The leggings, dresses and swimsuits are available in a variety of designs, including the N7 insignia, a drawing of Tali and pages taken from what I assume to be the official Mass Effect comics.
