Konami Surveying Gamers About Possible Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Sequel

Konami Surveying Gamers About Possible Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance SequelEarlier this year Konami launched Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and the good news is that if you enjoyed the game, it seems that Konami could be interested in developing a sequel for it, assuming that they aren’t secretly working on it already. If one were to hit up the official Metal Gear website, Konami points visitors to a survey where they ask visitors and gamers about what they would like to see in a possible sequel, if it were to be developed.

The survey asks questions about what players liked or disliked bout the game, the characters, the boss fights, mechanics, and more. Participants in the survey were also polled on whether they enjoyed the storyline, the humorous elements, and whether or not like liked Raiden as a character in Metal Gear franchise. It seems like a pretty extensive survey and a lot of the questions do seem like they are genuinely interested in gamer feedback to help develop a possible sequel, rather than simply asking if they enjoyed the game. There’s no telling what will come from this survey, but if you’d like offer your own input, hit up the survey and let your opinion be heard!

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance For The Wii U Is A Possibility

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance For The Wii U Is A PossibilityWhile the Nintendo Wii U is certainly an entertaining gaming console in its own right, there are many big name developers out there who are creating games for platforms like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but are passing on the Wii U. Well the semi-good news for Wii U gamers is that if you are looking forward to playing games like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on your console, that future might not be so bleak after all. According to a tweet by Jean Pierre Kellams, bringing the game onto the Wii U is most definitely a possibility, although he claims that there would have to be high enough demand for the Wii U version of the game before the developers even start thinking about a port.

Like we said, semi-good news because this does not confirm anything, but it certainly does not rule out the possibility either. Either way hopefully there will be enough demand to see the game ported one day, but as a Wii U gamer, what do you think? Would you like to see Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance ported onto the Wii U some day?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Gets A New Gameplay Trailer

Gamers – if you’re looking forward to play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (we’re sure that there are many of you guys out there), you might be interested to learn that Konami has released a Jack the Ripper gameplay video, giving gamers a glimpse, or rather a tease, of what they might be able to expect once the game has been made available. The video basically shows off a car chase scene along with lots of gratuitous action shots of Raiden hacking and slicing his way around the game. It’s a little over 7 minutes long and we suggest loading it up at its maximum video quality for the best viewing experience. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is scheduled for a release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 come 19th February for North America, while those in Europe can look forward to it on the 21st of February, and those in UK will only get their copy on the 22nd.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance collector’s edition will come with a Raiden sword lamp

If you’re planning on picking up Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, depending on how big a fan you are of the franchise, you might be interested to learn that there will be a collector’s edition of the game. It will be released alongside the regular version which means you will be able to pick it up come 19th of February 2013. No word on pricing just yet, but we’re sure that many of you are curious as to what sort of goodies the collector’s edition will come bundled with. Well for starters, gamers can expect a soundtrack to be bundled with the game, a special packaging of the game itself, and here’s the kicker – a “high frequency plasma lamp” which has been designed to resemble Raiden’s sword. Pretty cool, huh? So, any Metal Gear Rising fans planning on picking up the collector’s edition just for the sword lamp?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance cancelled for Xbox 360 in Japan

Bad news gamers in Japan, if you were looking forward to playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on your Xbox 360, well you’re out of luck as Kojima Productions has confirmed via its website that the game has been cancelled for the Xbox 360. Instead the game will only be available on the PlayStation 3. However it seems that this cancellation for the Xbox 360 is limited only to Japan, so for gamers in other countries it looks like you’re still good to go. Some have speculated that the cancellation might have to do with poor Xbox 360 sales in Japan, but either way if you’re in Japan and you want to play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, it looks like your best bet is to get it imported.

Grab Sony’s HMZ-T2 head-mounted display and play these games at Tokyo Game Show

Forget about that messy Oculus Rift, business — Sony’s got a properly futuristic looking (and shiny!) head-mounted display for gaming, too, and it’s gonna make another public appearance at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Of course, Sony’s effort doesn’t also offer head tracking, but, again, it’s much nicer looking, so we’re willing to excuse major technical differences. A whole litany of games will be playable with the HMZ-T2 device at TGS, from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to Assassin’s Creed 3 (some games are only demoable with the HMZ device, oddly). As we learned earlier today, the HMZ-T2 goes on sale (in Japan at least) this October for nearly $900. That Oculus Rift is starting to sound much more appealing, eh?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance release date and trailer revealed

Good news gamers, if Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a game that you’ve been looking forward to, you will be pleased to learn that an official release date and a new trailer has been announced. According to the announcement, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be launched on the 21st of February 2013. Players will still have quite a long wait ahead of them and we guess the trailer above will not be whetting any appetites, but hopefully it will give players and glimpse of the action and fun they can expect when it releases. For those unfamiliar, Metal Gear Rising: Revengenace is somewhat of a departure from the stealth-based gameplay that players have come to expect from the Metal Gear franchise, instead it is expected to be a fast-paced hack-and-slash title with action-packed gameplay. If the stealth-based gameplay put you off from previous Metal Gear titles, perhaps this might tempt you into trying it out. So, who else can’t wait to get their hands on the game?
