Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Trailer Recreated In GTA 5

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Save File Will Impact The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Save File Will Impact The Phantom PainMetal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a relatively short game, but this is to be expected since Ground Zeroes was meant to act as a prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that could see a release in 2015. This in no way detracts from the game despite it being a short game as reviews of Ground Zeroes have revealed that it is a pretty good game.

That being said, if you’re playing Ground Zeroes and were planning on getting Phantom Pain, you might want to keep your Ground Zeroes save file because according to Konami, it seems that the save file of your Ground Zeroes game could affect your Phantom Pain game. One of the examples they gave is that by loading your Ground Zeroes save file onto Phantom Pain will have all the POWs you saved in Ground Zeroes appear in the Mother Base.

That feature was mentioned in the past, but Konami adds that there will also be unique characters appearing in Phantom Pain, depending on your Ground Zeroes save file. We’re not sure what sort of criteria one must have on their save file or if there must be certain missions/achievements done in Ground Zeroes in order to unlock certain characters, but either way it will be worth your while to keep the save file around.

Unfortunately Konami does not mention what sort of unique characters we can expect, but if you’re the type of gamer who must have every achievement and unlock every character, then perhaps this is something worth keeping in mind when you play Ground Zeroes.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes iDroid iPhone 5/5S Case: !

Last week, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima shared images of the iDroid case via Twitter. It makes the iPhone 5 and 5S look like the eponymous cutting edge walkie-talkie used by Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Snake must have been wearing cargo pants in the game, because this thing is huge. metal gear solid v ground zeroes idroid iphone 5 5s case 620x430magnify

Kojima also pointed out the features of the case on Twitter. It has a blue light in place of the in-game item’s holographic display and a fake antenna that’s actually a small stylus. The case also has buttons for the iPhone’s sleep and volume controls. The part of the case that covers the phone’s camera lens and flash can also be removed. As a final touch, Kojima encourages fans who will get the iDroid case to download the free MGS V: GZ app. metal gear solid v ground zeroes idroid iphone 5 5s case 2 620x914magnify

According to Metal Gear Informer, Sentinel will release the iDroid case in Japan this October for ¥7,500 (~$74 USD). I don’t know if it will be released internationally. If you’re more of an Attack on Titan fan, you’ll be glad to know that Sentinel also has a 3D Maneuver Gear hand grip iPhone case on its lineup. Apparently not, as we have learned that Ground Zeroes had gone under the knife in the Land of the Rising Sun after a decision by Japan’s game rating board CERO. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Can Be Completed In 10 Minutes

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes was launched not too long ago and as you might recall based on our earlier report, it was said that the game wasn’t a very long one. In fact it was discovered that gamers could complete the game in around 2 hours if they really put their minds to it.

However it seems that the 2 hour time frame has been beaten considerably by a gamer who has since managed to go and complete it in around 10 minutes! To be fair many gamers who have reviewed the game have managed to complete it in a relatively short amount of time, which has left them begging for more. (more…)

Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain Could See Early 2015 ReleaseMetal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be seeing a release on the 18th of March. The game will be the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, although as it stands not much is known about Phantom Pain for now, including its release date which has been estimated to see a release possibly in 2015.

However thanks to an image posted on Konami’s website (via Reddit) has revealed that the game could indeed be making its way into the hands of eager gamers in 2015. The website on Konami’s page is basically the result of a gamer registering their copy of Ground Zeroes, in which the page thanks them for their efforts, and informs them that they can come back in early 2015 to claim their downloadable content. Hideo Kojima Did Not Expect The First Metal Gear Solid To Sell Well

Hideo Kojima Did Not Expect The First Metal Gear Solid To Sell WellSafe to say that by now many gamers have probably heard of the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The franchise and its games have proven to be quite a popular affair, but it seems that when the first Metal Gear Solid game was released, its creator did not expect it to do too well.

Speaking during a Twitch TV AMA alongside Geoff Keighley, Hideo Kojima revealed that he did not expect the original Metal Gear Solid to fare well. However he states that thanks to the fact that there was not much pressure on him, he could do whatever he liked with it. (more…)

Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain Will Be Much Longer Than Ground Zeroes

Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain Will Be Much Longer Than Ground ZeroesEarlier when a lucky few managed to get their hands on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, it was discovered that the game took roughly 2 hours to complete. This certainly does not sound like a lengthy game, and Hideo Kojima has stated that the game was meant to be replayed multiple times.

Now the good news is that if you were worried that Ground Zeroes would be short, you can rest assured that the next Metal Gear Solid V title, Phantom Pain, will be anything but short as Kojima has revealed that Phantom Pain is apparently 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes. (more…)
