“Do a little. Change a lot.” That’s the motto behind One Today — a Google-built app that launched a few months ago to those who requested an invite. Now, however, it’s free to download for all Android users in the United States, enabling those who do to donate a dollar per day (or more, of course) to an ever-changing list of nonprofit organizations. Each day a new project will be showcased, replete with details on what it’s about, who it’s helping and how it’s operated. Naturally, you’ll be able to make your donations public on Google+, and you can keep a log of your charitable givings within the app itself — ideal for tax writeoffs. There’s still no word on when it’ll go global, but statesiders can hit the source link to begin their download.

AT&T Locker has been available on Android and iOS for awhile, but those aren’t the only platforms the carrier offers — others need their online storage, too. Accordingly, AT&T has quietly posted a Windows Phone 8 version of Locker. The new app switches to a Microsoft-inspired interface while preserving all of Locker’s core features, including an option to automatically upload photos and videos. If you’re an AT&T customer and don’t mind tying your Windows Phone’s cloud storage to your choice of cellular network, you can grab Locker at the link below.

Sony Network Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment are teaming up with payments processor Boku to support carrier billing in the United Kingdom. The new feature, which is reportedly compatible with all UK-based carriers, will enable consumers to top up their account wallets by charging the addition directly to cellular accounts. You’ll be able to add funds through Sony’s account management website and the PlayStation Store on PS3 by choosing “mobile” as the payment option, typing in your phone number and authorizing the transaction by responding to an SMS. You’ll be on your way to charging games, themes, Music Unlimited subscriptions, video content and add-ons in no time.

Lava has an eclectic mix of smartphones on the market under its Xolo brand, including the Intel Atom-based X1000 and dual-core X800 ARM model with an 8-megapixel camera. A common thread is that all are, shall we say, cheap, and the Q600 unveiled today is no exception at 8,999 rupees (about $150). For that sum, you’ll get a quad-core Mediatek 6589M processor, 4.5-inch 854 x 480 screen, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front cam, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory (expandable via microSD) dual 3G sims and Android 4.2. Residents of India can grab it as of today, though we can’t see this particular model ever making occidental travel plans.

Not all BlackBerry owners are ready for new phones just yet, but many of them still want to browse their Twitter feeds as efficiently as possible. A Twitter 4.2 update launching today should keep those users satisfied: the release brings image cards to BlackBerry OS 5 and up, letting those on older devices peek at photos in the timeline. The upgraded version also populates that timeline with more details about the tweets themselves, and it suggests people to follow when looking at profiles.
