Modern Warfare 3 four day marathon results in Ohio teen’s collapse

modern-warfare-3-imageI guess this particular 15-year old Ohio teen has his lucky stars to thank, as he collapsed from dehydration after duking it out on Modern Warfare 3 on his Xbox 360 for get this – 4 days in a row. Sure, he might have cheated death this once, but do remember that it is a very thin line that he is treading on here. Remember an earlier story on how a teenager died after playing Diablo 3 for 40 hours straight? According to the teen’s mother, her son came out from his room only to pick up some snacks to keep him going, as well as to grab a quick shower.

Now here is one word of advice from a cool headed authority figure, Dr. Mike Patrick, who is an emergency physician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Mike hopes that gamers, for all their reflexes and logical thinking, will be able to make use of this thing called common sense by getting their fair share of food and fluids, while taking frequent breaks for physical activity, and most importantly, ensure your body gets its adequate amounts of sleep!

Modern Warfare 3 PlayStation 3 Elite content revealed for 16th August

If you’re a Modern Warfare 3 Elite member, you will be pleased to learn that according to Infinity Ward’s Twitter post, Elite members on the PlayStation 3 can expect to receive content drops 16, 17 and 18 on the 16th of August. According to the tweet, “Next #MW3 PS3 Elite content drops 8/16. Includes: 2 MP maps Decommission & Offshore + Spec Ops mission Vertigo.” Decommission will take place on a mid-sized ship graveyard, Offshore will be a close-quarters map on an oil rig and Vertigo will task players with taking out enemy helicopters from a rooftop of a hotel in Dubai. If you own the Xbox 360, fret not as you might recall, it was a couple of days ago when exclusive content for the 360 Elite members was revealed.

Modern Warfare 3 DLC Map images leak online


DLC map packs are one of the reasons that Call of Duty fans continue to play the games, it keeps the experience fresh with new maps and gameplay modes. Today, some images of the next DLC map pack release have been leaked online. Some gameplay was also uploaded, but it was quickly taken down by YouTube. The names of the three maps are Boardwalk, Gulch, and Parish.

Call of Duty ELITE July premium content drops announced

MW3Another month, another premium drop (DLC) for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 drops. This month, folks will be getting three multiplayer maps and a Special Ops mission. The three maps will be Decommision – a graveyard of rotting ocean liners, an oil rig with sniper perches in Offshore, and Terminal – a fan favorite from Modern Warfare 2, which takes place in a Russian airport. The Special Ops mission will be called Vertigo which pits you against helicopters and enemies from a rooftop vantage point on the Oasis hotel.

As usual, Xbox 360 ELITE Premium members will receive the content first (July 17th) and non-ELITE Premium members on the Xbox 360 second. PlayStation 3 users will have to wait much longer before they get to try out the new maps. However for those of you who can’t wait to play Terminal, it will be released to all COD:MW3 players free on Wednesday, July 18th.
