Logitech iOS Game Controller Might Be Called Powershell

Logitech iOS Game Controller Might Be Called Powershell

Its no secret that Logitech is working on a game controller for iOS devices, certain models of the iPhone and iPod touch that is. It has already teased one such “Made for iPhone” controller, and we’ve already seen leaked pictures of it. There has now been another leak, which gives us a better look at the controller. The accompanying trademark filing reveals that it is likely that Logitech might call this controller the Powershell.

Logitech is actually not the only company that’s expected to launch its gaming peripheral for iOS devices in the near future. Moga is also reportedly working on one, and we picked up on leaked pictures of the Moga Ace Power controller as well, earlier today. It remains to be seen which company comes out first in the market with its controller. The Powershell moniker was actually originally leaked by @evleaks earlier today. A trademark and patent filing spotted by @DustinLeiblein also reveals the same moniker. The filing describes it as an “integrated game control device and battery pack for use with computers and digital electronic devices.” Granted that there’s no explicit mention of the iPhone or any iOS device for that matter, so we’ll just have to wait for Logitech’s official announcement to be absolutely sure about the moniker. Moga’s controller is rumored to have a 1,800mAh battery pack, no word as yet on the specifics of the battery pack in what may be the Logitech Powershell.

Moga Ace Power iOS Controller Leaked

Moga Ace Power iOS Controller Leaked

Its only a matter of time before gaming controllers become available for iOS devices. Logitech is reportedly working on one, its purported controller has already been leaked as well. Moga too is said to be making a gaming controller for iOS devices called the Moga Ace Power. The first ever purported pictures of Moga Ace Power have leaked online. From the leaked pictures, it appears that the two halves of the controller simply need to be pulled apart so that the iOS device can fit in. Apparently the controller works with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c as well as the fifth generation iPod touch.

PowerA’s Moga Power controllers charge your phone while you play (hands-on)

DNP PowerA Moga Power Series controllers handson

Since we saw PowerA’s Moga Pro controller at CES earlier this year, the company has shown that it’s keen to evolve its product line based on early adopter feedback. Its two latest Bluetooth Android controllers — the Moga Pro Power and the more petite Moga Hero Power — bring some added functionality to PowerA’s lineup while building on the successes (and shortcomings) of the previous iterations. In addition to enhanced ergonomics and an improved grip, Moga’s newest offerings also boast multiplayer support and the ability to charge your phone while you play. The latter might be PowerA’s ace in the hole, but do the upgrades make for an even better mobile gaming experience? Read on to find out.

MOGA Power Series mobile game controllers arriving this fall

Are all game controllers created equal? Certainly companies that deal with game controllers as part of their product line up would say otherwise. If they do not do so, how else do you think that they are able to make a living by touting their wares? Well, here we are with MOGA having announced the MOGA Power Series of mobile game controllers that are set to arrive later this fall, with the intention to establish itself as the leader in the gaming industry where game controllers are concerned. You no longer need to worry about your handset’s battery life, since the couple of next generation MOGA products are said to deliver a whole new way of doing things, that could very well revolutionize the mobile game controller scene, with the help of MOGA Boost technology.

MOGA Boost will actually charge up the user’s mobile device as they play, and this would certainly lift off the burden at the back of your mind which is telling you to stop that Candy Crush level attempt since you need to conserve battery life in order to take in important calls from the top management in an hour’s time. With MOGA Boost, such concerns can be shelved, letting you play your game longer than normal, all while your handset is getting a power boost.

The two controllers are said to come with support for multiplayer gaming on the same screen, in addition to the likes of improved ergonomics, improved Bluetooth radios, not to mention seamless support for an ever growing library of over 100 MOGA Enhanced and HID compatible games. Also, one should not forget the MOGA S.M.R.T. Lock arm that is aimed at securing phones to the controller. These Power Series mobile game controllers will be cross-platform compatible, and other than playing nice with Android-powered devices all the way back to version 2.3 (Gingerbread), it will now be compatible with Windows Phone 8, now how about that?
