When you get swallowed by the waves of the biggest sea monster in the world (also known as the wonderful ocean), there’s not much you can do but protect your head and hope you know which way is up. It’s like being trapped inside a water tornado. This footage, captured by pro surfer Mark Healey, shows the exact feeling of getting hit by a gigantic wave. It’s a brutal spin.

Imagine standing on the road one day and have a sinkhole swallow you whole. Or imagine sitting in your house and having a giant sinkhole vaporized your entire building. That’s what happened in China. Two buildings in Guangzhou, China tumbled straight into a giant sinkhole as the ground below them disappeared. Luckily, no one was hurt (though 300 residents had to be evacuated and some of them just lost their home) as construction workers noticed the ground was already seeping in. More »
Sinkholes are mother shaking scary because it’s the ground disappearing on you. And they just seem to come out of no where! Like on this Brazilian road, a sinkhole pops up and just begins to inhale an entire car.
