It’s not hard to find a badass-looking helmet
This gorgeous custom motorbike began its life as an utterly mundane Honda P25, a fuel-efficient 1960s scooter. But motorcycle artisan Chicara Nagata turned it into a sweeping sculpture with a social-commentary twist: the tiny bike carries four infrared security cameras in its frame, built at the behest of a Japanese security company.
The world starts to blur. People and trees and houses and stores are just streaks of colors as you zoom by. The roads become vertical as you make your turns. You’re going so fast that, if you hit anything on the road, even a stick, you’re probably going to fly hundreds of feet in the air and smack yourself to pulp. This is what it’s like to race a motorcycle in the Isle of Man TT. It’s unreal how fast they go.
Unless you’re on some giant Harley designed for a long cruise across the country, a backpack is probably the most storage room you’ve got on a motorcycle. But besides the savings on fuel, an electric motorcycle has other advantages, like a giant hole where the gas tank and engine used to be—which this bike, the Feddz, repurposes as built-in storage.
There’s already a lot of responsibilities in being a parent. You gotta make sure your kids are fed. Make sure they bathe. Make sure they’re safe. And make sure they don’t become a menace to society. There’s only one requirement in becoming an awesome parent though and it’s this: build your kids an awesome Batpod motorcycle they can ride around.
If I started telling you about a new all-wheel-drive, turbodiesel-powered off-roader, you’d probably think I was talking about a 4×4 truck or SUV, right? Wrong. Check out the RNT, a concept from Indian motorcycle company Hero that could be the only back-country survival tool a motorcycle adventurer would ever need.
Pound for pound, there’s no bit of technology that made me happier last year than the brand new Honda Grom motorcycle. Is it cheating that it’s not strictly a gadget? I don’t care. Even if the Grom still breaks fast on old-fashioned dino juice, its diminutive size paired with 50-state street legality changed the way I think about city transit and my personal motive needs.
This brawny futuristic mini tank on two wheels is supposedly the world’s most powerful electric motorcycle. The battery-powered beast can re-charge its 12.8kWh juice pack in 30 minutes and has the power of a 1000cc motorcycle. Called the Voxan Wattman, the bike can hit 0-60mph in less than 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of over 100mph. Vroom freaking vroom.
This isn’t the motorcycle you need. It’s the motorcycle you deserve. You’ll be able to conquer Bane and the morning rush hour commute aboard this insane Harley V-Rod mod. And yes, those are dual flamethrowers and shotguns up front.
