LG MT93 Smart TV Delivers The Goods In A Small Form Factor

LG MT93 Smart TV Delivers The Goods In A Small Form FactorThe LG MT93 is an IPS personal Smart TV which is said to offer a whole lot more than its relatively compact package, once again lending credence to the proverb of not judging a book by its cover, or in this case, its performance by its size. Targeting exceptional performance in dorms and small rooms, the new 27” LG MT93 IPS Personal Smart TV will target those who want a big viewing experience without having to grapple with the relatively large footprint.

Thanks to stellar Smart TV capabilities as well as excellent connectivity options, the LG Personal Smart TV will feature a vivid IPS display, sporting a thin yet elegant bezel design. The LG MT93 brings along with it access to a wide range of online content, broadcasts, VoD (Video On Demand) and apps from global and local providers, and this categorized section will enable users of popular services such as Facebook, Netflix and Hulu Plus to enjoy those right in the cozy comfort of your room. Other features include Picture-in-Picture (PIP) capability, a couple of HDMI connections and a trio of USB ports. There is no word on pricing at the moment, but it will hit Europe first before it arrives at other markets. [Press Release]

College students and studio apartment tenants still don’t have many options for advanced TVs; they often have to make do with a PC monitor or find a way to cram a bigger TV set into a tiny space. It’s a good thing that LG’s MT93 Personal Smart TV is shipping to Europe this month, then. The 27-inch, IPS-based upgrade to last year’s model carries the same smart app platform, 3D imagery and Magic Remote as LG’s larger sets while doubling as a monitor for HDMI-equipped PCs. It even stuffs in wireless sharing support that rarely makes it to small TVs, such as Miracast and WiDi. LG hasn’t said which other countries will get the MT93, but international expansion plans later this year could please at least a few more campus dwellers.
