[CES 2014] Mushkin has just announced the release of their refreshed FrostByte heatsink for the Blackline as well as Redline memory modules, and you know for sure that these are chock-full of quality. Specially cut from aircraft-grade aluminum, the FrostByte would be the newest model of durability and functionality. It will make use of the spanking new vortex thermal design that will dissipate and control accumulated heat all the while maximizing PC performance.

Having said that, the FrostByte will be an ideal solution for computer enthusiasts and gamers, and you can be sure that the heatsink’s diamond cut design will be able to turn heads. You cannot pick it up just yet though, as the FrostByte heatsink will start to release to the masses from February 2014 onward, on both Redline and Blackline performance memory module offerings. Mushkin has launched a new line of enterprise SSDs, the ProSpec. Coming in capacities ranging from 100GB to 400GB, these SSDs are equipped with either eMLC or MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SandForce SF-2582 controller, a MTBF of 2 million hours and can deliver read/write speeds of up to 555/525 MB/s (100GB), 560/530 MB/s (200GB), 540/460 MB/s (300GB & 400GB), respectively. Here comes a new line of USB 3.0 flash drives from Mushkin, the Atom. Available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB sizes, these ultra-compact flash drives (just under the size of a quarter) feature a USB 3.0 connection interface and can deliver read/write speeds of up to 80/5.5 MB/s (8GB), 155/11.5 MB/s (16GB) and 155/21.5 MB/s (32GB), respectively. This particular flash drive would obviously boast of extremely fast data transfer rates of up to 380 MB/s read and 325 MB/s write (theoretically speaking, considering these are well within the limits of the USB 3.0 standard, but in real life one might experience something different). Not only that, it comes with a rugged aluminum casing to deliver additional durability and resistance. Just a reminder for the masses, the USB 3.0 standard is up to 10 times faster compared to USB 2.0, and best of all is, it happens to be backwards compatible with legacy USB ports and devices.

Best of all is, the Mushkin Ventura Ultra is a dying breed, being one of the few USB flash drives in the world that does offer USB Attached SCSI Protocol support, so that it paves the way for command queuing so that it can maximize the transfer rate potential. Each purchase will arrive with a 2-year warranty when it becomes available worldwide this coming October 7th.

Mushkin, long a trusted name when it comes to high quality memory products, has just announced their latest Chronos GO SATA 3 SSD drive which is said to offer similar levels of storage space compared to its predecessor, although you will be able to enjoy a far smaller footprint this time around, which should be great news for those who are always looking for different ways to upgrade their particular computing rigs while making things smaller and more compact.

The 1.8” Chronos GO SATA 3 SSD will ship in in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities, although pricing details have yet to be confirmed as at press time. We do know that it will come with a smaller footprint compared to the previous generation, while offering performance and reliability improvements for users over other models. It was originally developed to be an enterprise-class drive, but somewhere along the way, it was re-engineered to deliver maximum capacity for the masses. The Chronos GO SATA 3 SSD will be able to peak at 560MBps with sequential write operations and 525MBps sequential read speeds.
