Calm yourself, Breaking Bad isn’t back yet (that will be in next week’s listing for August 11th), but football fans can look forward to the beginning of the preseason. The Cowboys and Dolphins kick things off with the Hall of Fame game Sunday night on NBC, while Discovery Channel begins its usual celebration of Shark Week and Star Trek The Next Generation season four comes to Blu-ray. This week is all about July 4th, and as a result even some of our favorite TV shows are taking the week off. There are still a few things to get excited about with classic flicks like The Producers and The Kentucky Fried Movie arriving on Blu-ray, and the season finale of Christopher Guest’s excellent Family Tree on HBO. UFC 162
Anderson “The Spider” Silva is considered by some as the greatest MMA fighter of all time, and this weekend the UFC’s middleweight title holder gets in the Octagon again versus Chris Weidman. This is Silva’s first fight in eight months, and if he wins it could lead to a superfight against either Jon Jones or Georges St-Pierre.

Yes, Game of Thrones is over, but there are still a few other interesting shows on TV. While Futurama begins its farewell tour, Wilfred and Copper return for the summer and Discovery kicks off a new reality show that drops contestants off in the jungle with nothing — and by nothing we mean no clothes. Futurama
Yes, sadly, Futurama has been canceled again. The 13-episode final final season starts Wednesday on Comedy Central and will feature the show’s entire original voice cast. Special guests this season include Larry Bird, Emilia Clark, George Takei and more, check out a clip from the new season embedded after the break.

Whodunnit?
It’s a reality show — wait, wait, this one might be different! This time ABC is taking on the murder mystery genre, as 13 players compete to solve a different mystery each week. Solve it and survive to proceed to the next episode or else face elimination.

NBA / NHL Finals
And then there were two. The NBA finals are almost over as the Spurs have pushed the Heat to the brink of elimination, while on the NHL side the Blackhawks and Bruins are tied 1-1 after two overtime contests, with Game 3 tonight. Enjoy your sport of choice while you still can, before the long offseason begins.

The summer programming schedule has officially arrived, and this week familiar warm weather favorites return including Continuum, Falling Skies and Burn Notice. There are also a few new entire including TNT’s The Hero reality show and Sinbad on Syfy, plus a lengthy list of Blu-ray releases including a few classics and season five of Breaking Bad. The NHL Conference finals are in full swing, and tonight we’ll find out who’s joining the Spurs in the NBA Finals. All that, and we haven’t even mentioned the Game of Thrones season finale or the news that Dan Harmon is returning to Community. Continuum
Despite a plot centering around the always-tricky-to-pull-off time travel, season one of this Canadian science fiction show impressed us when it finally aired here, and now season two is ready to go on Syfy. The first season left plenty of juicy plot threads and cliffhangers for us to wonder about, and now we’ll find out if the show can continue to deliver on them. Falling Skies
TNT’s own science fiction effort returns for its third season this weekend and features a new twist in the battle against Earth-invading aliens — more aliens. The first two seasons have had some inconsistent quality and gotten bogged down in romantic or political plot lines occasionally, but the premieres and finales always suck us right back in.

Mad Max Trilogy
All three Mad Max films get a Blu-ray set this week, and the third movie Beyond Thunderdome makes its debut on the format. We shouldn’t have to convince you this one is worth viewing, but you can see a few trailer clips after the break. Why is this set arriving now? A new flick, Fury Road, is due next year with Tom Hardy taking over the title role.

Arrested Development fans have had this week circled for a while, but that’s not the only thing to watch. The weekend will also be big for racing fans, with the Coca-Cola 600, Indianapolis 500, and a live presentation of the Grand Prix of Monaco on NBC. Xbox Reveal
Tomorrow Microsoft takes the wraps off of its next Xbox console and, of course, we’ll be there to bring you all the information as it’s unveiled (bookmark our liveblog here). Of course, if you’d like to watch firsthand you’ll have a number of options, including live streams available on Xbox.com, Windows Phone, and the Xbox 360 (for Gold and Silver members). It’s also on cable, with Spike TV doing the broadcast honors. The pre-show starts at 1PM ET and the reveal itself is expected at 2PM ET, set your alarms accordingly.

Arrested Development
It’s finally time. After being rescued from the grave, season four of Arrested Development will launch on Netflix streaming Sunday. As is the streaming company’s custom, the entire season will be available for viewing at once, however Mitch Hurwitz notes it is made to be viewed in order, which we expect many of you will do multiple times. Check out the official trailer after the break or just start rewatching the first three seasons now.
