Samsung Tizen Smartphone Purported Image Leaked

samsung-tizen-smartphone

Its not like there has been any shortage of rumors about Samsung’s long awaited Tizen smartphone. The company has delayed this product time and time again, and has not revealed much about its specifications. Perhaps we’ll hear more at the Tizen event at MWC that has already been scheduled, but that’s still no indication of whether a release is imminent. Apparently the Korean manufacturer is going to call the first Tizen smartphone “Zeke,” a purported image of the device has leaked online, bearing model number ZEQ9000.

LG G Pro 2 Is Official, Will Debut In February

lg-optimus-g-pro-review--23Earlier in 2013, LG announced their then flagship device, the LG G Pro. Given the time of the release, it was meant to compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Well it looks like LG could be deploying the same strategy that they used back in 2013 and compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with an upcoming handset, the LG G Pro 2. The LG G Pro 2 has been rumored about for a while now, but it looks like LG has decided to put the rumors to rest by officially announcing the device’s existence, although exactly what sort of hardware the handset packs under the hood remains a mystery for now.

LG’s official announcement basically states that we can look forward to its unveiling in February 2014, although LG declined to provide any specific dates. However given that MWC 2014 is taking place in February, chances are that could be when we might be able to look forward to learning more about the device. Based on what we know from the rumors, the LG G Pro 2 is said to feature a 6” display with a Full HD resolution. A bit odd given that high-end smartphones are starting to turn to 2K display resolutions, although we guess it could help cut costs, not to mention the Note 3’s resolution is Full HD as well, so perhaps LG thinks that is good enough. Other rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM to accompany it. Other specs such as its camera, software, and additional features remain unknown, but hopefully additional details will be revealed in the near future.

Lenovo K7t Smartphone With 2K Dispay Revealed In Benchmark

379x600xlenovo-k7t-kingdom-antutu.png.pagespeed.ic.yavofeBB0zBack in 2013, Lenovo had a smartphone called the Lenovo Vibe Z which was the Chinese company’s first LTE-enabled smartphone. However it looks like Lenovo will not be resting on its laurels as thanks to a benchmark sighting of a certain Lenovo K7t, it seems that Lenovo will be looking to compete with the best of the best with a 2K smartphone of its down. Thanks to the benchmark, it has been revealed that the Lenovo K7t will sport a 2560×1440 display which appears to be the upcoming standard of high-end smartphones for 2014. Vivo has done it with the Xplay 3S, Oppo with the Find 7, and there have been rumors that Samsung could be looking to do the same thing with the Galaxy S5 as well.

Other hardware specifications that was revealed in the benchmark suggested that the Lenovo K7t could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz, 3GB of RAM, a 16GB of onboard storage (was not mentioned if it could be expanded via microSD), a 5MP front-facing camera, a 13MP front-facing camera, and appears to run on Android 4.4.1 KitKat, although hopefully it might be upgraded to Android 4.4.2 KitKat upon its release. No telling when Lenovo might announce such a device, but if we had to guess, MWC 2014 would be a safe bet. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but do check back with us then for the details.

Oppo Find 7 Could Be Announced At MWC 2014

oppo-find7The Oppo Find 7 has been making its way around the internet for a while now, with Oppo teasing a few features here and then, and confirming others along the way. Now the next question we’re sure many are wondering about is when will the handset be launched? After all the Chinese company has been teasing us for months, all of which seems to suggest an announcement in the near future, but unfortunately that has not happened yet. Well the good news is that your wait could soon be over as Oppo has announced on their Twitter account that they will be present at MWC 2014, suggesting that the mobile conference could be the platform that they will be using to make their announcement regarding the Find 7 and other handsets they might have in the works.

Of course it is entirely possible that the Find 7 could be announced before then and they are simply showing off the handset, but we guess we will just have to wait and find out. So far what we do know about the handset is that it will feature a 5.5” 2K display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood clocked at 2.3GHz. It will also come with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. We can only presume that more details will be shared at MWC 2014 and as we will be live at the event ourselves, do check back with us then for the details!

Nokia Lumia 1520V Leaked Yet Again

lumia-1520vWe have read about how Sony intends to prevent leaks of their upcoming handsets through a particularly easy method – by blocking benchmark apps from running on their prototype devices. It sounds like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? However, that move would not stop a potential leakster from shooting a photo of an upcoming device and sharing it with the rest of the world over the Internet. This is the case with the Nokia Lumia 1520V, where more live images of the device has hit the news.
