NVIDIA Highlights Project SHIELD’s Non-Steam PC Game Experience

Last week, NVIDIA highlighted its Project SHIELD in the first video of its PC Mondays series by showing us how exactly the device will sync up with your PCs. The process was easier than we originally anticipated as it took very little effort to get the PC version of Borderlands 2 up and running through Steam.

One concern people had regarding the demo was how exactly non-Steam games would play. This week’s video highlights playing non-Steam games, one of which is EA Games’ Need for Speed: Most Wanted. (more…)

Need For Speed: Most Wanted trailer for iOS and Android revealed, looks promising

If you’re a fan of racing games, then games like from Need For Speed franchise are probably familiar to you. Well the good news is that if you were blown away by Need For Speed: Most Wanted at E3 a few months ago, you might be pleased to learn that the game will be arriving on your mobile device at the end of the month. This was hinted by the folks at EA Mobile who pointed at a trailer, which we have to admit looks pretty awesome.

The game has been developed by Firemonkeys studio, the same people behind the Real Racing franchise so if you loved Real Racing but wanted Need For Speed elements, then perhaps this might be a game you’ll be interested in. A specific release date is unclear but October is the general time frame and it should be making its way onto the iTunes App Store and the Google Play store hopefully at the same time. We’ll keep our eyes peeled but until then, check out the trailer above to get an idea of what to expect.

Galaxy Note II coming to T-Mobile on October 24th, say leaked documents

Samsung’s Galaxy Note II is happily filling hands in Korea and the UK without so much as a release date announced stateside. We may now have one, thanks to the folks at TmoNews, who appear to have snagged an internal document which suggests the phablet will arrive at the Magenta carrier on October 24th. Coincidentally (or not), Samsung is holding an event the same day, marrying with our previous speculation that it’ll be unveiling the various carrier editions of the 5.5-inch beast there. Our suspicions are flagged, however, at the mention that Need for Speed: Most Wanted will come pre-installed, a game that isn’t slated for release until October 30th — not that we haven’t seen similar release partnerships from the Note crew before. Although we can’t confirm the legitimacy of this leak, we can suggest you start building up that grip strength just in case.
