Sometimes all you want to do is press play on a magical big red button and hear the music you like. That one-touch startup has never been done as simply as has been in Nokia Music’s overhauled Windows Phone app, MixRadio. You turn it on, and it plays a station that’s perfectly tailored to all the data you’ve ever given them.
There are whispers going around that Nokia is working on a version of Nokia Music which will be released on both iOS as well as Android mobile operating systems, at least according to an allegedly leaked graphic. This particular app will currently offer streaming music to Nokia Lumia and Asha smartphones, and not forgetting about Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT devices, too. If Nokia decides to expand the service’s reach, it would be a step that is more than welcome by many, I believe.
So far, there were images that were spotted over on Sina Weibo by CTechCN that depicted how Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, and Android fell under the heading of “Platform Support.” It was once thought that the Android and iOS versions would end up as applications on the Web instead of a native application. Should this particular rumor turn out to be true, then Nokia could actually make back some of its investment in the service. Google Play Music recently arrived on the iOS platform, and boy, did it take quite some time to do so! You know what they say, good things always come to those who wait. Do you think that this cross-platform Nokia Music idea is a good one?

If there is one app or software that does not need an “incognito mode” at all, it would be MP3 players. After all, you would be proud to wear the name of your favorite band in the form of a tattoo on your forearm, so that the world will know what an amazing band they are. The more obscure the name, the better, since it shows what a non-conformist that you are to the rest of the masses, or sheeple, as you call them. Well, Windows Phone 8 users would be pleased to hear that Nokia Music has been revamped, where it is now capable of keeping track of your listening history.
Not only that, there is also a Live Tile option which shows off different kinds of important information concerning the music that is being played, where among these will include details such as artist and song names. Apart from that, the above mentioned history feature will also take a virtual note of the most recently played tracks, while ensuring that the download section of the app’s mix radio stations has also received an update of its own.

Nokia Music+ Arrives Down Under
Posted in: Today's ChiliNokia, the Finnish smartphone giant, has just announced the arrival of Nokia Music+ in Australia, as some folks over the past weekend did notice that a new option has arrived on their respective Lumia handsets, where it showed off the option to subscribe to Nokia Music+, for AUD$4.99 a pop. It is then nice to see that an official press release was issued by Nokia Australia to confirm this.
Just in case you were wondering what kind of benefits does Nokia Music+ have over the vanilla Nokia Music, they will include the wonders of infinite skips, unlimited offline mixes, lyrics support, and the ability to listen to Nokia Music via PC/Tablet, among others. Heck, you can even choose the higher quality audio whenever you are connected over a Wi-Fi network, ensuring that your ears will gain nothing but the very best. Of course, it does help a whole lot if you have a decent pair of headphones to go with the entire experience. Have you already reaped the benefits of Nokia Music+ if you so happen to reside in Australia?

Nokia Music gets upgraded for Lumia 920 and Lumia 820: Equalizer, Dolby support, Facebook connectivity
Posted in: Today's ChiliNow Windows Phone 8 has arrived with Xbox Music in tow, what’s next for Nokia Music? Well, at a press briefing this week in London, it told the assembled tech press that its still going — and Nokia’s even adding features. The music service is apparently continuing to expand, with new tracks being added weekly — Nokia’s mix radio currently houses 338 curated mixes in the UK alone, across pretty broad selection of music genres. And yep, there was a mention of K-Pop.
New functionality improvements include an immediate share-to-Facebook option, while the Gig Finder feature nestled within the music app picks up improved search skills, capable of checking specific venues and areas, along with the ability to buy tickets for — and get directions to — future gigs. The app’s new audio equalizer has 18 presets while you’ll also be able to tweak the seven-channel system to your own personal preference. On top of that, Dolby tech is also embedded in, with Dolby headphone (a signal processing upgrade) in attendance on both the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. Nokia also affirmed that the upgraded app will be included on its hardware that gets bumped up to version 7.8. We’re just about to get our review model and will give the new features a full rundown as soon as we can.

Posted in: Today's ChiliWe bring you tidings of Nokia Music (which was upgraded to version 2.0 in March this year) being launched for customers living in the US, where those who reside in the US can download the Nokia Music app from the Nokia Collection in the Marketplace, and just in case you happen to want to purchase the Nokia Lumia 900 or Lumia 710 smartphone in your next gadget shopping spree, you will be pleased to know that the Nokia Music app already comes pre-loaded on your smartphone.
One of the highlights of Nokia Music would most probably be the Nokia Mix Radio, where its killer features allows one to conjure playlists from your own taste, or to take your pick from hundreds of specially curated mixes which were drawn from the Nokia Music collection that stashes away a rather massive 17 million plus tracks. Even more, you are able to download these playlists over Wi-Fi to tune in to just about anywhere, without having to make use of any other data connection.
