There are a few things in the office that don’t really travel well. One of the main things is a printer, which can make life pretty stressful if you’re on the go constantly. You come to rely on a hotel having one for public use, but sometimes that doesn’t always happen.

If you often find yourself needing to print things without a way of doing it, then the Mini Mobile Robotic Printer might be able to lend you a hand. This is about the size of your fist, and can print an A4 page in about 40 seconds. Simply activate the printer by sliding the hatch to reveal the inkjet, and start printing away. The inkjet will last for about 1,000 pages, and at the moment, you’ll only be able to print grayscale images or black text. This is a rechargeable device, and will last for about an hour on one charge.

You will need to make sure you line up the printer properly, otherwise your printing is going to be everywhere but where you want it. It is capable of printing multiple pages, and will stop once it has reached the bottom, and will wait until you move it to the new page, and tap the correct button on the corresponding app. The cartridge is easy to find as it is a standard HP one, so you can find it just about anywhere. This will be available in white and black, and will cost around $200-220.

It seems crazy how much difference a few degrees of temperature change can make. Things can melt, freeze, or start to go bad in no time flat. If you have an ointment, medicine, or specific type of food that you want to keep cold, but don’t want to put it in an office fridge in fear that it may be thrown out, there are other options.

Should your item that needs to be kept cool or toasty be really, really small, then the Thanko USB Warm Cold Storage Unit can assist you. This measures 2.9×3.1×3.1”, and has a little plate inside that can either bring the temperature of whatever you place on it down or up. This plugs into your computer via USB 2.0, and has an in-line switch that will allow you to choose hot or cold. If you want to change to either extreme, you will need to wait about 10 minutes before it will be effective.

The range is in between 10-122 degrees Fahrenheit. While this may be useful in some very particular instances, it would be hard to justify with its $40 price tag for much else. You may as well rearrange your office space and try to work in a mini fridge, or at least look for a larger version of this tiny thing, such as the ones big enough to hold a can or more. This also doesn’t appear to be air-tight, so be prepared for it to radiate a little bit of heat or cool air your way.

Once you’ve become more proficient with using keyboard shortcuts, it’s painful to watch others trudge along without them. If they’re a friend, it’s your duty to make their lives easier by teaching them the simple way of doing things.
