4/20, International Pot Smoking Day, has come and gone, but Chronic artist Cliff Maynard never stops celebrating the holidaze. His mind-blowing portraits made of the burnt-out roaches from thousands of joints prove that drugs don’t just inspire art, sometimes they actually make it. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
It’s always been fun to climb trees, and I guess that it’s cool to have some sort of high perch in your garden or in the wilderness to look out from. While you won’t be dragging this unwieldy tent around anytime soon, it’s certainly an interesting way of setting up a treehouse for adults.
The Luminair Tree Tent is a semi-permanent tree house. The curved hybrid aluminum and steam-bent ash frame provides stability, while the 16oz waterproof cotton canvas skin keeps the elements out.
It’s about 10 feet in diameter, which is big enough for two adults. The whole setup weighs about 264 lbs. and can handle another 550 lbs in occupants.
Unfortunately, the Luminair Tree Tent doesn’t come cheap. You’ll have to spend £6500 (~$10,095 USD) in order to get yours. Or you could just build a tree house the old-fashioned way.

With the warmer weather almost upon us, I can hardly help
but be reminded of summers past and the lost innocence of childhood, when long
into the evenings, the trees surrounding our happy home full with the raucous
laughter of cicadas, my parents and I would challenge each other to a thrilling
game of Doody Head.
Traveling in a strange city can be intimidating enough, without the embarassment of having to pull out a map every two blocks. These Metro cuffs might not give you the layout for whole cities, but at least you’ll look like a pro in the subways when you never have to look at a map…except for the one on your wrist.
