Toshiba Canvio Wireless Adapter does away with pesky cables

toshiba-canvioDon’t you just love the wireless as well as paperless revolution? After all, it is always nice to know that a particular device is able to “talk” to another without having to hunt around for a wire or a cable to connect the two. Toshiba might be more famous for a wide range of consumer electronics devices, but this does not mean that they have forgotten entirely about the world of computer peripherals. No sir, one of the more recent releases from them would be the Toshiba Canvio Wireless Adapter which will be able to offer traditional external hard drives with the ability to become networked storage devices.

The Canvio Wireless Adapter can be best described to be a simple yet powerful innovation which will add wireless networking capabilities to any traditional external hard drive, where with this capability vested in it, users are able to share, stream and access their content from any place, on any device.

The Canvio Wireless Adapter is a snap to use, allowing one to be able to instantly add high-capacity storage to a smartphone or tablet through the wirelessly uploading of pictures, videos and documents to an external hard drive. This works a whole lot better instead of your mobile device losing precious storage space. Not only that, the Canvio Wireless Adapter is also to share content with up to eight other devices simultaneously, which means that both family and friends are able to easily access and download photos and videos, while working teams will be able to easily access presentations and documents in business meetings.

Not only that, users are able to play and enjoy their entire digital media library stored on an external hard drive through the act of streaming them to a tablet or smartphone. The Canvio Wireless Adapter will work in a number of settings that range from a hotel or dorm room to being on the move, where a lot of it depends on your mobile lifestyle. The Canvio Wireless Adapter can be purchased for $79.99 a pop.

The Nomad FLeX – Bringing your Art to the Digital Canvas.

nomad_flex_grey_08_sm_medium

I always wanted to be artist. I pictured myself in a studio, complete with half finished artwork everywhere. I can’t say I was terribly artistic, but sometimes that can be developed with practice. What I can say is practice was very expensive, paints and canvases were pretty costly, especially when you knew that whatever project you were going to turn out was unlikely to be a masterpiece.

Now, you can set your inner Picasso free, with the Nomad FLeX. Even artwork has gone high-tech and you can get the tools you need to create on a digital canvas.  The Nomad Flex paintbrush stylus is designed especially for touch screens and it features a new, highly flexible, all-synthetic brush tip, which will translate to real time strokes on your chosen digital device. Each one of the brushes is highly conductive and will glide effortlessly across almost any touchscreen device.

The Nomad Flex is the ideal accessory for the artist in you, for use with a wide variety of touch-enabled computers or tablet devices, including new Windows 8 devices, or your iPad, iPhone 5 and Microsoft’s Surface tablet. The body of the Nomad Flex is made of precision-milled aluminum and comes in your choice of five unique colors: charcoal, silver, cobalt blue, red and pink. So whether you’re really an artist, or your just a daydreaming doodler, The Nomad Flex might be for you. Get one at amazon.com for under 30 bucks.

Digital Storm VANQUISH II gaming PC set to blow your mind away

digitalstorm-vanquish-2Gamers do take their hobbies very seriously, which is why from time to time, they do their bit to ensure that their gaming PCs are upgraded with nothing but the very best hardware that is in the industry, or at the very least, what their current budget permits. Digital Storm has certainly whipped up a storm (pardon the expression) with the unveiling of the brand new Vanquish II gaming PC that has been specially developed in order to play most of the demanding games that are out there in the market today, and then some.

Apart from that, the Vanquish II from Digital Storm does go to show that you need not have to spend a fortune on a gaming computer to get started. Sure, the base model with a price tag of $699 might prove to be more expensive than the Xbox One or Sony PS4, but PC gaming has always carried with it a different dimension as opposed to pure console gaming, at least according to my experience so far.

For instance, a “good” configuration will feature an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 1GB graphics card and Intel Core i3 4330 processor, while those with some more money to spare will be able to end up with an “Ultimate” build that has a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB graphics card and Intel Core i5 4570 processor, allowing the Vanquish II to deliver a truly immersive gaming experience.

As for the future, you need not worry since Vanquish II is fully upgradeable and boasts of an open architecture so that gamers will be able to remain ahead of the competition thanks to easy upgrades which will ensure that the system remains on the cutting edge for years to come, hence doing away with your need to add more upgrades so soon after purchase. All Vanquish II units will ship within 72 hours from the moment an order is placed. What are you waiting for?

Samsung Chromebook 2 Series ready to offer cheap computing on the move

samsung-chromebook2The netbook was a pretty interesting fad, although the amount of time it spent in the market did not really manage to make an impact. I suppose the birth of tablets as well as Ultrabooks more or less killed off the netbook since folks did not really see any need for it to exist, not to mention the relatively paltry computing power available. Well, Chromebooks are a different matter altogether, and they do seem to have a whole lot more staying power compared to the netbook. In fact, it will be announced later today the new Chromebook 2 Series that will arrive in a couple of models – the 11.6” and 13.3” Samsung Chromebook 2 Series, where either device will continue from where the popular Samsung Chromebook line left off, bringing along with it faster performance, a longer battery life as well as a slim, light build that has been specially enhanced by a durable textured lid and elegant stitched design.

Apart from that, this 13.3” Samsung Chromebook 2 will also come with a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution display, which should go some way in helping users enjoy vibrant visuals whenever they work, teach and learn, and be entertained. It was not surprising that Samsung ended up as the leading Chromebook brand in the U.S. last year, making up over 60% of the overall market share, at least according to NPD.

The Samsung Chromebook 2 Series is highly efficient, taking less than a second to wake up, and if you were to cold boot it, it requires less than ten seconds to be in fully working order. Not only that, the energy-efficient Exynos 5 Octa processors underneath the hood would pave the way for effortless multitasking and rapid rendering of graphics and videos. Accompanied by a 250nit brightness display on the 13.3” model, it has also been optimized for Google+ Hangouts messaging and video calling. Not only that, you will be able to enjoy up to 8.5 hours of battery life for the Chromebook 2.

Expect the Samsung Chromebook 2 to be available from April onward, with the 11.6” and 13.3” models retailing for $319.99 and $399.99, respectively.

msi-radeonI do know that many of us love gaming, although our gaming priorities have been changed somewhat to accommodate the mobile lifestyle in the form of portable consoles, smartphones and tablets. You can turn any laptop into a touchscreen

Turn_Your_Regular_Laptop_into a touchscreen
It seems like touchscreens are everywhere. They come up so frequently that it has come to the point where you sometimes get to a device which is not touch-capacitive, and end up poking the screen anyway. Of course, just because that’s the trending fashion doesn’t mean we’re all going to be able to go out and get a new tablet, laptop, or phone immediately.

If you want the capabilities and advantages that touchscreens supply but don’t have the cash, then the Touch Screen Camera for your laptop will give you just that. It is quite literally a camera that will track your movement on the screen. As this does only cost $43, it’s far cheaper than a new laptop, but will still leave something to be desired.

If nothing else, this can be a webcam for video chats. Should you want to use it to make your laptop touch-capacitive, then you’ll only need to plug it in and use the provided pen to click on icons, write, and draw. The pen will need a battery, but the camera will draw from your laptop. While it is nice for those of you who really want a touchscreen and can’t afford to get a new screen or new laptop entirely, this will be one more thing to carry in your bag, and might be easy to lose or break with its long neck.
