Sharp is going to release a AQUOS smartphone “AQUOS PHONE es WX04SH” for Wilcom in mid September.

The compact body that is only 60mm wide has a 4inch LCD screen. 1.5GHz dual core CPU and 2,080mAh battery are built-in. It offers convenient features such as Wi-Fi, a waterproof body, One-seg, infrared data communication, and mobile wallet function.

As it’s compatible with PHS and 3G, you are able to talk on the phone through 3G line even when there is no service for PHS. It has PHS tethering function as well.

SoftBank is going to release a 94g ultra-lightweight waterproof dustproof smartphone “DIGNO R SoftBank 202K” manufactured by Kyocera on July 5.

“DIGNO R SoftBank 202K” has a 4.3inch (1280 x 720 dots) HD TFT LCD screen and 1.5GHz dual core CPU MSM8960 built-in. It’s a “SoftBank 4G” compliant smartphone so that it is capable of download speeds up to 76Mbps.

There is high-capacity 1800mAh battery built-in in this 94g compact smartphone.

4G LTE compliant rugged smartphone “G’zOne COMMANDO 4G LTE”, manufactured by Casio Computer and NEC Casio mobile, will be released by the American mobile network operator Verizon Wireless on June 27.

“G’zOne COMMANDO 4G LTE” is MIL-STD 810G compliant (waterproof, dustproof and crushproof). It has the G’zGEAR application built-in, and it is compatible with the cloud service LIVE G for G’zOne users and the outdoor social media map G’sWORLD. Also, new functionality “Glove Touch Mode” that enables you to control the touch panel in gloves has been added.

In addition, by pairing “G’zOne COMMANDO 4G LTE” with a Bluetooth Smart compliant G-SHOCK, you will be notified of incoming calls and messages came to “G’zOne COMMANDO 4G LTE” via your G-SHOCK.

Today, Sony Mobile revealed their new smartphone “Xperia Z Ultra” in Shanghai, China.

As a full HD smartphone, “Xperia Z Ultra” has the world’s largest 6.4 inch touch screen full HD display (1920×1080 dots) built-in, and also it has the world’s thinnest 6.5 mm body. It’s scheduled to be released in this summer.

“Xperia Z Ultra” features Sony’s original display technology “Triluminos Display for mobile” and “X-Reality for mobile” which is also their unique technology that analyzes images and recovers dead pixels. The camera has Sony’s stacked CMOS image sensor “Exmor RS for mobile” (8.1 million pixels) .

Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon 800 processor” with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU is built-in.

“Xperia Z Ultra” is compatible with NFC and waterproof/dusproof (IP55/IP58). 3 colors will be available: black, white, and purple.

Here’s a silly little invention that is wonderful because it’ll either make you more drunk or more human, preferably both. It’s a beer glass. Huh?
