Borderlands Claptrap Pillow: Lay on Me Minion!

Borderlands is a fun game series, and I really don’t hate Claptrap. It’s just that this little robot is so annoying that I sometimes want to unload clip after clip of ammunition into his metal body, then burn it. Then stomp on it. Because this damned robot will not shut the hell up. Ever.

Look at me. I’m dancing. Now you dance in hell! Felt good to get that off my chest. Anyway, I love this Clap Trap pillow, because it does not talk. It is from Etsy seller Cyberscribe.

You can also get other Borderlands characters like Mad Moxxi, Deathtrap, and Salvador the Gunzerker in pillow form. This one is probably the cutest – though Gaige isn’t bad. It is nice and quiet and not acting insane so you can actually rest your head on it and sleep.

Ostrich Pillow Junior: Bury Your Head on Your Desk, Kids!

Remember the Ostrich? It’s kind of like a pillow that you can wear over your head so you can take a nap or get some rest, anytime and anywhere you feel like taking a breather. It looks like a cushy helmet with a huge opening in front for your face.

It started out as a concept that quickly went viral because it was just so unusual. Now kids can’t get in on the action and grab some shut-eye whenever they’re tired because the folks behind Ostrich just unveiled the Ostrich Junior.

As the name implies, Ostrich Junior is a smaller-sized version of the Ostrich. It’s intended for kids who are 6 years old and above. It makes sense for them to make one in this size, since kids are napping all the time, regardless where they currently are. At least with the Ostrich Junior, nap time is infinitely more comfortable.

The Ostrich Junior pillow comes in two designs: Berry Snooze and Dreamy Waves. It retails for $75(USD). You can find out more about it on Studio Banana’s website.

Heroes and Villains Pillow: Park Your Butt on Jabba the Hutt

Ok, Jabba isn’t included in this design, but at least the title rhymed. This cushion urges you to stop trying to pick a side and just park your backside on it. It features some of our favorite heroes and villains.

hero cushion

You can’t have black without white, or light without dark. And you can’t have heroes without having bad guys. All of your favorite characters are here. And completely unlicensed, which I guess gives it a wacky style.

There’s RobotCop, Dark Vader, Adam West and an Imperial Stormtripper, not to mention assorted Powder Rangers and the evil Skeletron.

I’m sure that this balance of good and evil makes it very comfy for your rear end. Ready to redecorate? Grab it over at Firebox for about $54(USD).

P.S. They really should make a Jabba cushion. If anyone can cushion your butt it’s him. He’s one toad away from a massive coronary. How about a Jabba recliner? With Salacious Crumb footstool.

Technogel Helps You Sleep Better

Technogel Helps You Sleep BetterWho does not want to have a good night’s sleep, especially when the day has been more than stressful enough? A great mattress as well as pillow to support your back and neck well is always important so that you wake up feeling refreshed instead of being more tired, not to mention ensuring that you will be able to tackle the next day’s tasks with a greater vigor than ever before. Having said that, the kind of material that you use in your bedding is also extremely important, and here we are with Technogel that could be the future of performance bedding material. Technogel is malleable and durable enough to be used in art installations, car interiors and desk accessories in the past, but it seems that this patented soft-solid material will finally make the jump to the bedroom.

Many people would ask, why bother bringing Technogel to bed? For starters, it will be able to help you sleep better, as there will be less stress placed on your pressure points in the neck and shoulders – resulting in a lower amount of tossing and turning. That in turn, would give you (and your partner) a more restful sleep, while making you feel comfortable. It works like a second skin since it will shape itself according to your body for stress relief. Would you get a bed or pillow with a layer of Technogel within?

Hizamakura Lap Pillow Is Absolutely Weird

Hizamakura Lap Pillow Is Absolutely WeirdNow, there have been some pretty weird pillows that we have seen in the past, and the Ostrich Pillow is definitely one of them that managed to make the jump from being an idea to a successful Kickstarter project. Now only that, Capcom too, recently introduced a special edition Blood Pillow that ought to freak out those who suffer from hemophobia. Apart from that, we have also seen a dictionary desk pillow that looks extremely comfortable to catch some forty winks on thanks to its size. Trust the Japanese to come up with the zany Hizamakura Lap Pillow, which is a foam pillow that comes in the shape of a life-sized woman’s lap and legs.

Right now, it is sold out at the Japan Trend Shop in the Tokyo and Narita International airports, and somehow I am not too surprised to hear that. The Hizamakura Lap Pillow happens to be an accessory which looks like the kneeling, mini skirt wearing lap of a woman, and it was the brainchild of the Trane Corporation in the mid 2000’s, where it was then advertised as a homesickness-healing accessory. If only it came with its own built-in warmer, now that would make it all the more realistic.

This Log Pillow Isn’t as Firm as It Looks

I was just thinking about picking up some new pillows for our bed, since I think I need something with a little more support. While a good firm pillow can help you sleep better, I don’t think that sleeping on a log is particularly good for your head and neck. That is, unless it’s this plush log pillow.

    log pillow 1

The Log Pillow is made by Kikkerland, and it looks like the perfect place to catch a nap while lying on your couch, bed, or in your sleeping bag in the woods. Thankfully, it’s not filled with hardwood, but instead it’s packed with the type of polystyrene beads you’d find in a bean bag.

It measures about 15″ long and 6.5″ in diameter, and sells for $18(USD) over at Fredflare. Or you could just go buy some firewood and try and put your head on that.

NapAnywhere Lets You Catch a Few Zzz’s Anytime, Anywhere

Tired? Sleepy? Then take a nap whenever and wherever you want to with NapAnywhere. It’s not the first take-anywhere pillow in the market (remember the Ostrich pillow?), but it’s more user-friendly and portable compared to some alternatives.

    NapAnywhere

So what is NapAnywhere? It’s a head-support pillow that gives you the right amount of support when you’re sleeping in an upright position. It was created by a physician, combining engineering, architecture, and even a little bit of origami into the final design. Most people use U-shaped pillows as their headrest when they’re sleeping on the go, but if you’ve tried taking a half-hour nap on those things, then you probably already know how uncomfortable they can be.

The NapAnywhere flattens into a disc for easy storage when it’s not in use. When you want to take a nap, just unfold and it’s ready to use. NapAnywhere just hit its goal on Kickstarter, so it will be going into production.

Legend of Zelda Ring Bearer Pillow: Link up in Style

Listen! If you are going to rescue your princess and then be wed, it’s all about presentation. Do it right and get something like this Legend of Zelda Ring Bearer Pillow. She will be glad you did and she will say yes faster than you can button mash.

Of course if it is anything like these classic games, she will just get herself in trouble again and you will have to rescue her all over again. But until that happens, you can get this beautiful pillow from Etsy seller Red Panda Gifts for $45(USD).

Not sure what that works out to in rupees though.
