Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Zomboss Down Expansion Now Available

For those of you out there who cannot get enough of Plants vs Zombies action, here is a little something that you might want to check out – Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare has its most recent expansion revealed for both the Xbox 360 as well as the Xbox One, where this expansion will be known as Zomboss Down. PopCap Games announced the availability of Zomboss Down for both platforms earlier today.

It is nice to know that Zomboss Down happens to be the second expansion for Garden Warfare, and it will be free, of course, which would not add any more financial burden to fans of the game who want to continue their zombie defending adventure. It is also a month since the Garden Variety add-on was introduced, so you ought to find more longevity where this title is involved. Zomboss Down is a western-themed DLC that will feature up to eight more new characters, where among them include the Law Pea and Sun Pharaoh, in addition to a spanking new multiplayer map for the Gardens and Graveyards mode which is known as Cactus Canyon. Apart from that, the expansion will also increase the level cap from 20 to 30, so do expect to unlock more stuff along the way. Have you given the Zomboss Down add-on a go already?

Free Garden Warfare DLC From PopCap

Free Garden Warfare DLC From PopCapPopCap is certainly on the right track when it comes to their Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare community, having just announced that a free “Garden Variety Pack” DLC is on its way. After all, sharing is caring, and to have PopCap make this announcement might just cause some of us to fire up Plants vs. Zombies and its sequel, and play through the games all over again for nostalgia’s sake. This particular DLC will be made available on March 18, where it will feature a trio of abilities for each class, in addition to an all new 8v8 “Gnome Bomb” mode (that ought to be full of fun and mayhem for sure) and a “funtastic” map.

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Headed To PS4, Xbox 360 [Rumor]

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Headed To PS4, Xbox 360 [Rumor]

Earlier this year, PopCap Games announced two new titles would be making their way to the Xbox One prior to releasing them on any other platform. Peggle 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be launching on the Xbox One first, but up until now, we didn’t know where exactly either game would land once they were made available on Microsoft’s next-gen gaming system. In the case of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, it looks like the title will be making its way to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 4 some time after its initial release on the Xbox One. (more…)

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare Release Date Announced

PopCap Games is the developer behind the very popular mobile game franchise Plants vs. Zombies. During E3 this year PopCap and EA announced that a new game would be coming in the franchise aimed at console gamers called Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare.

This game is very different from the others in the PvZ franchise. Garden Warfare is a third-person shooter supporting multiplayer action. The game is based on the Frostbite 3 game engine and will hit the Xbox 360 and Xbox One game consoles on February 18 in North America.

The game will land in Europe on February 20. A PC version of the game will be coming later. The game has three modes and over ten maps for gamers to play. Two of the modes support 12 vs. 12 player versus battles. The other mode is a four-play co-op mode. The game will cost $39.99(USD) on the Xbox One and $29.99 on the Xbox 360 (which is kind of stupid that they’re charging more for the Xbox One version).

Plants Vs. Zombies 2 For Android Released Worldwide

Plants Vs. Zombies 2 For Android Released WorldwideIt did not take too long after some test runs happened Down Under, in Australia as well as New Zealand as both EA and PopCap Games have finally rolled out a long awaited title to Android users – Plants vs. Zombies 2. I guess the days for iOS users to gloat over Android device owners are now over, as they too, will be able to enjoy the latest version of the game on their tablets and smartphones. It is more or less the same version which was released on the iOS platform earlier this summer, where you are required to keep the cute looking undead at bay with the help of some plant power, whether it is during the day or at night.

Obviously, there will be some changes between the iOS and Android versions, and the biggest change would be a switch from Apple’s Game Center to Google Play Game Services when it comes to keeping track of achievements as well as leaderboards. Just like in the good old days, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will be considered to be a free download app, and you will only need to pay if you want to take the fast track to victory. Crazy Dave needs your help, aren’t you going to make sure he gets all the assistance that he needs? As long as you run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, you’re good to go.

EA Denies Apple Paid Them ‘Truckload Of Money’ For Temporary Plants vs Zombies 2 iOS Exclusivity

EA Denies Apple Paid Them Truckload Of Money For Temporary Plants vs Zombies 2 iOS Exclusivity It was just yesterday when we brought you word that EA allegedly touted that Apple actually paid them a ‘truckload of money’ in order to delay the release of Plants vs Zombies 2 on the Android platform so that it will remain as an iOS exclusive for some time. That was a little hard to swallow actually, and even if it were to be true, what does EA gain from such an admission? Well, in under 24 hours, games publisher EA has stepped forward to deny such claims, and in an official statement they mentioned that “A comment from an internal meeting taken out of context has created an unfortunate misunderstanding. Reports of a paid relationship between Apple and EA are factually inaccurate, and we apologise for any confusion.”

Not only that, Apple also did issue a denial on the situation, and that nary a single cent has exchanged hands throughout the episode. Apparently, this particular misunderstanding came about after Frank Gibeau, head of EA Labels, was quoted to have said, “Apple gave us a truckload of money to delay the Android version [of Plants vs Zombies 2].” Taken out of context or otherwise? You be the judge. This just goes to show how important one’s words are regardless of the setting.

Plants Vs Zombies 2 For Android Available In China

Plants Vs Zombies 2 For Android Available In ChinaWhile Plants vs Zombies 2 for the iOS platform has already been launched for nearly a month already, not to mention having passed the 25 million download mark in a jiffy, helping lower the productivity of iOS device owners at work and possibly damaging their marital relations at home, Android users are “spared” from such addictive torture. Not for Android users who happen to live in China, however, as it seems that the Android version of Plants vs Zombies 2 has finally made its way there via Baidu’s AppSearch Android market.

As for the rest of the world, we will just have to sit tight and keep on checking out whether the Google Play Store will carry this title or not. Or one can always take the shortcut and purchase an iPhone 5S, of course. Still, folks living in China will be able to enjoy the title which boasts of a new map-based progression system as well as a mix of themes and costumes that range from pirates to mummies, and even to the wild west. Of course, permissions to this version of the game would require the ability to send SMS messages, so there are tradeoffs to consider. Just how desperate are you to play the game on your Android device, anyway?

Plants Vs Zombies 2 Achieves 25 Million Download Milestone

Plants Vs Zombies 2 Achieves 25 Million Download MilestonePopCap Games must certainly be revelling in the success of Plants vs Zombies 2, where this particular title on the iOS platform has already hit the 25 million download mark, just nearly a fortnight after reportedly achieving the 16 million download mark. Still, despite this frightening figure, there does not seem as though there will be an Android version of the title in sight. It would be interesting to see just how much higher the 25 million mark could jump to should Plants vs Zombies 2 be made available on the top mobile OS in the world, right?

We were teased with a Crop Circles video yesterday, and that might bode a new expansion for the title on the iOS platform. Perhaps by the time Crop Circles arrives, those of us who are rocking to the Android platform might eventually end up with a freshly minted copy of Plants vz Zombies 2? One can wish, can they not? In fact, the impressive 25 million download mark within half a month is already more downloads compared to the total that the original received on iOS. If you happen to own an iOS device, how has your experience been with Plants vs Zombies 2 so far, or you haven’t yet downloaded it? [Press Release]

PopCap’s Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Crop Circles Video Teaser

PopCap’s hit mobile game, Plants vs. Zombies, has its fair share of fans all over the world, and they have been clamoring for a newer version of the game for quite some time already. Of course, PopCap did oblige this particular group of gamers and Plants vs. Zombies 2 proved to be quite the hit when it finally arrived, achieving 16 million downloads along the way, resulting in it being one of EA’s most successful mobile game launches in the company’s history. The good news does not seem to stop there, however, as PopCap has teased the world with a trailer of sorts which could possibly clue us in to the next update or expansion in the Plants vs. Zombies 2 universe.

The trailer itself depicts what seems to be an ordinary zombie who is standing in the midst of a field (filled with crops, is he on a suicide mission or something?), and when the camera pans out, it shows a rather huge crop circle corn maze. Will this particular title have anything to do with extraterrestrial life, since crop circles tend to be connected to life from outer space in popular culture. All I can say is, we cannot wait soon enough for more information on what could be.
