Peggle 2 Headed To Xbox One December 9

Earlier this summer, we learned two of PopCap Games’ upcoming titles, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and Peggle 2, would be made available on Microsoft’s Xbox One first before it’s made available on any other gaming platform. Since that bit of news was released, we haven’t heard much concerning either game, although PopCap Games has just announced Peggle 2 will be headed to the Xbox One on December 9. (more…)

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Headed To PS4, Xbox 360 [Rumor]

Earlier this year, PopCap Games announced two new titles would be making their way to the Xbox One prior to releasing them on any other platform. Peggle 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be launching on the Xbox One first, but up until now, we didn’t know where exactly either game would land once they were made available on Microsoft’s next-gen gaming system. In the case of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, it looks like the title will be making its way to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 4 some time after its initial release on the Xbox One. (more…)

PopCap Games just released its Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time within the week, but the developer is hard at work on new titles as well, namely Peggle 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Plants vs. Zombies 2 Now Available On iOS

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Now Available On iOS

It’s been a long time coming for fans of PopCap Games’ Plants vs. Zombies 2 as the company originally told us the game would be releasing on July 18, but it was later delayed in order to fine-tune the game a bit before its worldwide release. As you could probably guess by the title of this story, Plants vs. Zombies is now officially available exclusively on iOS.

Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time has been available in Australia for over a month to allow EA to ensure all of its back-end systems were able to handle a number of complex elements such as cross-device saves and the creation of player accounts. It looks like the time Plants vs. Zombies 2 had in Australia did EA some good as so far, the game has been available on iOS for under 12 hours without any issues rising from its launch.

Fans of the original Plants vs. Zombies grew concerned over the freemium price structure revealed to be included in Plants vs. Zombies 2, but in my experience playing the game for a few hours, I can tell you so far I haven’t experienced anything that could take away from enjoying the game so far. If you’re a true PvZ fan, then you should head over to the App Store and download PvZ 2 immediately.

PopCap Games’ Solitaire Blitz Jumps From Facebook To iOS

PopCap Games Solitaire Blitz Jumps From Facebook To iOS

By now, you should know the name PopCap Games as they’ve released some truly addictive game experiences in recent years, such as Peggle and Plants vs. Zombies. Another one of their addictive titles that has yet to make its way across multiple platforms is its Facebook-only game, Solitaire Blitz. That all changes this week as PopCap is announcing the game is now available on iOS.

Yes – this pretty much is a game of solitaire, but it certainly has a PopCap Games twist to it as you’ll be able to play any number card that will hit into the solitaire pile, regardless of the suit of the card. This helps in making the game fast paced, which is entirely the point as you’ll only have a little over a minute to complete your game. (more…)

PopCap Teams Up With Hasbro To Deliver Two Bejeweled Board Games This Year

In the world of match-3 puzzle games, PopCap Games’ Bejeweled has to be the most popular as no matter what platform it was released on, people just seem to flock to it and its addictive gameplay. One platform Bejeweled has yet to make a debut in has been a real world board game, but that is all about to change now that Hasbro has teamed up with PopCap to offer the first-ever physical Bejeweled game early this year.

This spring, Hasbro will introduce two games based on PopCap’s Bejweled game. The first of which is called BEJEWELED and will have players swapping gems on the game board to match three or more jewels to win. Hasbro’s other Bejeweled game, called BEJEWELED FRENZY, will be a fast-paced card game where the objective will be to match gems to build their stacks of cards as fast as possible.

Each board game will come with a digital code to redeem digital goods. BEJEWELED will contain a digital code to redeem a PC / MAC copy of Bejeweled 3, while BEJEWELED FRENZY will contain a digital code that can be redeemed to collect four rare gems to use in Bejeweled Blitz.
