NEC is preparing to release their newest portable WiFi router, the Aterm W500P. Corresponding to the ‘Draft 11ac’ (the new standard for wireless LAN IEEE802.11ac), this travel-friendly router comes with NFC pairing function and supports for dual-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 150Mbps and 5GHz – 433Mbps). The Aterm W500P will go on sale from February 13th for around 6,000 Yen (about $58) in black and white color options. [NEC]
