Find ‘Hot Local Cats’ In Your Area With the Adult Cat Finder

Looking for an adult friend in your area? No? Yeah, neither am I, but that’s not going to stop those annoying ads from popping up on your screen without warning when you’re visiting certain websites.

Injecting a lot of humor and making fun of these websites is the Adult Cat Finder.

It might have a slightly alarming name that might put you off, but don’t let its name fool you. In fact, I would suggest that you take it quite literally, because this little “widget” will find you hot local cats in your area.

Check out the Adult Cat Finder yourself and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

The “service” was created by Fountain LA and it puts Kitten on a Keyboard in the spotlight.

Food-Instagramming Pranksters Harass Random Diners

Do Instagrammers who post pictures of food annoy you? Apparently, they irritate a lot of people, including some guys who took it upon themselves to come up with an in-your-face prank that demonstrates just how annoying their behavior is.

Or that could just be my interpretation of their prank. Anyway, the whole thing was orchestrated by Hungry, which is a YouTube channel that’s all about food.

Instagram Food Prank

They had two pranksters travel all around town, asking random people if they could take a picture of their food so they can post it to their Instagram account. It’s invasive and irksome for them to do so, but it also happens to be a very funny clip. You can check out what happened in the clip below:

Strangers Asked To Have Their Food Instagrammed In Prank Video

There’s nothing more fun, and more annoying, than taking photos of your delicious meal before and after you’ve dismantled it to share to the world through Instagram. But we’re not sure what we would do if a stranger came up to us asking if they could Instagram our meal. Thankfully, the folks at Hungry did just that in there new video.

Hungry, which is a YouTube channel who focuses mainly on cooking, decided to go outside of their kitchen to prank some folks who were enjoying a meal by asking if they would be OK with them Instagraming their meal. A number of people are completely fine with the process, while some would rather not have their meal  as well as themselves included in Hungry’s photos. In some cases, the lighting was considered to be “too dark,” which resulted in an assistant coming in to help by either shining an extremely bright light on the food or using other methods to make the lighting optimal for Instagram. Sphero Peacekeeper Edition: My, What Big Balls You Have

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that today is April Fool’s Day. Many of the items we’re posting on the site today aren’t real – but some are. This is one product that falls into the former bucket, but I so wish were in the latter.

sphero peacekeeper

The guys at Sphero have announced an epic new version of their smartphone-controlled ball, called the Sphero Peacekeeper Edition. It weighs in at a whopping 150 pounds, and measures 3 feet in diameter. And it’s totally a prank. Or is it?

Despite the obvious safety concerns, the idea of a 150 pound spherical robot companion sounds great to me. Just imagine how quickly you can clear out those long lines at Walmart. And forget about ever losing a bowling tournament again.

sphero peacekeeper 2

While it’s pretty clear the Sphero Peacekeeper Edition is an April Fool’s prank, I’d still order one if I had $10,000 to spare, and from the looks of things up on their indiegogo campaign, at least one person has actually pledged to buy one.

CryFace App: Turn that Smile Upside-Down

There seems to be a never-ending barrage of photo editing apps for the iPhone that will instantly transform your portraits into something else entirely different or entirely humorous.

CryFace happens to fall in the latter category.

CryFace

With the push of a button (aptly labeled “Time to cry!”), your otherwise smiling or neutral-faced portrait is instantly transformed into one that shows you with a huge frown and with tears running down your face. Of course, you’re not limited to cryface-ing just your pictures.

cryface 2

Sharing the end image is a breeze, since the app allows users to share them via Twitter, Facebook, and email. The CryFace app is available for $0.99 (USD), and for an extra $0.99, you can unlock its text editing feature so you can make the image look like a meme.

Rebels Retaliate to Death Star Kickstarter with X-Wing Kickstarter: A New Joke

Some of you may have thought that the (non) news about the U.S. government wisely turning down a petition to use its resources to build a Death Star had reached its conclusion with the Death Star fundraiser. Apparently this space cow has not been Force Milked dry just yet, because now someone’s asking for money to build a fleet of X-Wing fighters.

rebel alliance x wing squadron kickstarter

The representatives of the Rebel Alliance analyzed their enemy’s plans and have set up several effective countermeasures. For instance, they are merely asking for $11,000,000, way less than the $31.4M target fund for the Death Star. And whereas the Sith supporters only had a drawing of a circle – albeit, a well drawn one –  as their initial design, the Rebel Alliance used the power of the Force Google and posted this on their project page:

rebel alliance x wing squadron kickstarter 2

If that’s not enough to persuade you to donate to the light side, the Rebels have also indicated a desire to build a heavily modified YT-1300 Freighter:

rebel alliance x wing squadron kickstarter 3

The Rebels are also offering lightsaber construction classes to people who pledge $5,000 and a Jedi training camp to rich padawans who can pledge at least $10,000. I say we start a Kickstarter to help start an organization that prevents people from using Kickstarter for their jokes. Then let’s start another one that calls that other Kickstarter a buzzkill. Plot twist: we’ll only ask for $500 for each fundraiser, then we’ll split the cash and vanish. Jokes on you, backers!

Death Star Kickstarter Project Kicks Off – And They Need Just $31 Million Dollars to Start

The U.S. government said ‘no’ to a petition signed by thousands of people asking for the construction of an actual Death Star. Not to be deterred, another group of concerned citizens have taken to the internet to raise funds to build the massive structure themselves.

Death Star KickstarterIt’s called the Open Source Death Star project and it’s currently up for funding on Kickstarter. The goal? A massive £20,000,000 (~$31.4 million USD). But that money won’t go toward building the actual thing; rather, it’s going to be used to come up with “more detailed plans and enough chicken wire to protect reactor exhaust ports.”

Yeah, okay.

The stretch goal is $850,000,000,000,000,000, which is the amount required to build the Death Star, as per the estimates of the U.S. government.

Death Star Kickstarter1

That circle above? That’s no ordinary circle, since that’s the “initial design” posted on the Kickstarter page for everyone’s reference.

Funnily enough, the project has raised over £191,000 (~$300,000 USD) so far. It’s clearly a joke, as the project’s creators have indicated on their project page under ‘Risks and Challenges’: “The main challenge is assuring Kickstarter that this is a joke and not a serious project. As proof, the goal has been set high enough to make successful funding almost impossible.”

Of course, if the project should reach actually its goal, they’re gonna have a whopper of a challenge on their hands.

Ultimate Poser: Prankster Recreates Users’ Profile Photos, Then Sends a Friend Request

If you share the same name as Redditor CasinoRoy, then chances are you’ve already been pranked by him. You see, what he does is search for people who share his name (“Ryan Roy”) on Facebook. After checking out the profile photo of his would-be targets, he re-does their picture and copies their hair, clothes, poses, and location.

Facebook PranksterThen he uploads it to his own profile and sends his same-name counterpart a friend request. Everything sounds pretty funny to the rest of us, but I think it’s safe to assume that those who got his friend requests were beyond creeped out.

According to Roy, the reactions he got were mostly along the lines of “What the hell?” or “Who the f*ck are you?”

Elephant Eats iPhone, Poops It out a Bit Later

Elephants are pretty cool, and there are plenty around in Thailand. However, you don’t expect them to have the same penchant for smartphones as humans. This one at a Thai animal part took a liking to a Chinese tourist’s iPhone and decided to swallow it whole.

elephant thailand eats iphone

If you’re an elephant and you swallow something, you’d better believe that it’s coming out the other end, sooner or later. That’s apparently what happened with the iPhone, no worse for wear, but perhaps a tad smellier. A little while after the incident, the handler nonchalantly digs through the elephant’s poop, looking for the ringing phone.

While at first glance, it looks like the real deal, I think that the video could be a fake. Given the circumstances, everyone seems a bit too relaxed, including the handler and the woman who lost the phone. Still, it’s pretty funny to watch.

Nudifier App Lets You Nudify Your Pics, Sort of

There are many tools that video editors use to censor out content that’s not supposed to be seen. For example, many cable channels pixelize exposed body parts so that they can air it on TV. People have since moved on to use other forms of censorship, like blurring out the offending parts (or faces).

Taking the pixelization process further and turning it mainstream is the Nudifier app. It promises to let you ‘nudify’ any image you have and transform it into a ‘sexy naked photo.’ In actuality, it simply pixelates the area you choose and nothing more.

NudifierThe app asks you to choose a skin color and fill in the area that you want to be nudified. Tap the orange button and voila! You’ll have a pixelated and slightly obscene naked picture of anyone that you’ll choose to violate via pixels.

Nudify3

Try it on friends, teachers, and even your pet. Just don’t try it on your mom and dad – I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want to see them naked, even if it leaves the censored parts to your imagination.

The Nudified app is being offered for free at the iTunes App Store for a limited time.
