Grumpy Cat is Every Disney Princess

Prepare to have all your favorite memories from childhood invaded by none other than Grumpy Cat. She’s a huge sensation on the interwebs and people young and old recognize her as the cat from “that meme.”

Grumpy Cat is often the subject of artwork, and she’s the inspiration once again in artist Eric Proctor aka TsaoShi’s latest gallery on deviantArt.

Eric’s work puts Grumpy Cat at the center of iconic Disney movie moments, from the Little Mermaid on her rock with the water splashing all about or that scene from Lion King where Rafiki is raising little Simba. (On a side note, I can’t believe that I still remember the baboon’s name after all these years!)

You can check out the rest of the series in the gallery below.

Disney Princesses Dressed in the Fashion of Their Times

There seems to be a lot of Disney-themed art these days featuring everyone’s favorite subjects: the princesses. One that’s currently making the rounds is a gallery of them twerking, but I figured I’d skip that to avoid ruining everyone’s childhood.

Instead, we’ve got a gallery by Beatrice Lorén, in which the princesses keep their dignity and show off their sense of style at the same time.

What makes Beatrice’s artwork different is that the characters have been dressed up in what was considered fashionable when their respective movies were released.

I like Cinderella and Aurora’s outfits best, but maybe that’s because they’re sporting such classic looks. Ariel looks particularly hip in her eighties wear, and Mulan’s get-up looks like something she would really wear, if she stayed in character.

Looks like Beatrice (aka bealor on deviantArt) did a great job. What do you think?

Dad Hacks Donkey Kong So Daughter Can Play as the Damsel and Save Mario

What would you do if you introduced your daughter to Donkey Kong and she was disappointed that she couldn’t be the female and save Mario? Would you just say, oh well, that’s the way it is? Well, Mike Mika wanted his daughter to have the game her way. So he hacked the game.

donkey kong pauline edition

His daughter wanted to play as a princess in Donkey Kong, like she did in Super Mario Bros. 2. So, like Kirk with the Kobayashi Maru, Mike changed the program and put together a patch that let his daughter play as Pauline, the damsel who is no longer in distress. In fact, she has a mallet, and she knows how to use it.

Check out the video. Mike is one great dad.

The Walking Dead Infects Disney Princesses

Warning: Before scrolling down, we recommend that you move to a place where there are no kids (both young and old) nearby, because the consequences and ramifications might be serious.

If you grew up reading fairy tales and watching Disney’s cartoons, then you know that they’ll usually end in happily ever after. But what if they somehow got bitten by one of the undead from The Walking Dead?

Disney ZombiesI don’t think the zombies would spare the princesses if Disney ever got hit by a zombie apocalypse. And to show everyone what would become of Ariel, Snow White, and Cinderella, artist extraordinaire Witit Karpkraikaew drew up these eerie images of the undead princesses.

As you can see above, the skin is just melting from Ariel’s frame. And here’s Snow White, looking not-so-white or pure with brains instead of an apple.

Cinderella is the darkest of the three, as she wields an ax and is chewing on her otherwise missing glass slipper for a quick snack.

Witit’s DeviantArt page has been hit with comments and requests for more zombie princesses. I personally would love to see a zombie Belle, from Beauty and the Beast.
