Etsy seller Clever Trevor sells 8-Bit bow ties for $8.50 (USD) each. Each bow tie is handmade and you can also ask for specific colors or a glow in the dark variant. We need a fabric version of this.
While we’ve definitely seen our share of video game themed bathrooms here on Technabob, all of the ones I’ve come across seem very much like they were intentionally done that way. Not so much with this bathroom, which has a subliminal message for all fans of retro gaming…
Look carefully at the tiny blue tiles, and you’ll see a Space Invader lurking there, right in front of the toilet. The guy who snapped this picture says his employee that installed the tiles in the bathroom of this drug treatment center is a video game fan, so he suspects it was intentional, but I like to think that it was totally random. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stared at the marble tiles in my bathroom and tried to imagine a pattern was there, like a demonic human face staring back – but it’s always my mind playing tricks on me – like the man on the moon, or Jesus on a grilled cheese sandwich.

After his performance in The Dark Knight Rises, I think it’s safe to say that Christian Bale can now be crowned as one of Hollywood’s superhero elites.
I know this is a weird question to ask, but have you ever imagined him – and all your other favorite superheroes – as manatees? The reason I ask is because if you have, then you no longer need to imagine because you can see them as manatees for yourself.
These are the works of Joel Harris, who searched deep within him to find inspiration and come up with the vision for these animalistic portraits.
Manatees aren’t exactly the world’s cutest animals but Harris changes all that. Who knew that manatees could look so adorable with just a change in costume?
Personally, Spider-Man Manatee is my favorite. Which one is yours?

Back in the day, all a guy (or girl) had to do was buy a ring and get down on one knee to propose to the love of their loves. Things have gotten more complicated these days, and proposals are no exception. But more than that, they’re also getting even more creative. So how do proposals work for two massive gamers? Mario-style, of course.

Monkeys. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they’ll always be the one animal species that’s closest to the human race. So what could be more fitting than sitting in a chair that’s made with the monkey’s favorite food in mind?
It looks all sorts of comfortable, too. The banana meat serves as the cushion to seat your in comfort, while the banana peel lets you rest your weary elbows on them after a long, tiring day.
Designed by WamHouse, the banana-inspired seat is actually called the Zjedzony, which is Polish for ‘eaten.’ Makes sense, considering a huge chunk of the banana (chair) has been eaten away.
Looks awesome, doesn’t it? I’d kill to have one of these for my living room.
