Back in 2013, Blizzard announced the next expansion of Diablo 3, Reaper of Souls. The game has been given a release date for the 25th of March 2014 and gamers can already go ahead and pre-purchase their games. Blizzard will be offering three different versions which gamers can buy: a standard edition which is just the game only, a digital deluxe edition, and a collector’s edition, the latter of which Blizzard has recently posted images of on its Diablo 3 website and which you can see for yourself in the image above. It was just a week or so ago when we talked about how the next wave of beta invites have gone out for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. Well, for those of you who happen to have lost sleep over when will Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls actually roll out, it is time to ditch all those sleeping pills and settle for some soothing sleep later tonight, especially after official word has rolled out that Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will be arriving in March 25, 2014, and even better news is, you will be able to prepurchase your copy now to avoid disappointment when the tail end of March arrives next year.

It does not matter whether you want to put on the latest armor for the new Crusader character, or opt to let your existing hero continue his or her exploits into Act V, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will definitely offer updated loot rewards, all-new class skills and abilities, game-changing features including the Mystic and Adventure Mode, as well as highly replayable content thanks to the inclusion of Bounties and Nephalem Rifts.

Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls Arriving March 25, 2014, Prepurchase Your Copy Now original content from Ubergizmo.

Back in August shortly after the Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls expansion was announced, it was revealed that a beta of the game was expected to kick off by the end of the year, and sure enough it has as Blizzard has announced that the Friends and Family Beta has begun. The beta, according to Blizzard, used to be limited to just Friends and Family and Blizzard employees, but the company has announced that this year they will be extending the invite to “valued media contacts and key members of the Blizzard community” as well, along with 3,000 of Blizzard’s most active Diablo 3 players who have opted in for the beta testing as well.

Thankfully the beta is not under an NDA meaning that if you wanted to learn more about the upcoming expansion, you should start to find YouTube videos and blog posts about the expansion popping up on the internet soon. Of course given that the game is currently in beta, what you see now is subject to change and could be vastly different from the final release. The closed beta is expected to kick off soon as well, so if you want to get in on that beta testing action, you can do so by opting in for the beta via your Battle.net profile page, although this is not a guarantee that you will get it. Blizzard announced the Diablo 3 expansion a while ago, called the Reaper of Souls, and we know that come BlizzCon 2013, Blizzard will be sharing more details about what they have planned for the Diablo 3 game, the expansion, and the franchise. The schedule, according to Blizzard, will also show off the game’s cinematic intro which will be different from the launch trailer and if you can’t be bothered to wait until BlizzCon 2013, leaked footage of that trailer has since made its way onto the internet in pretty amazing quality, suggesting that whoever leaked it managed to get their hands on the file itself, as opposed to sneakily recording it with their camera while it was playing.

If you’re wondering what the trailer is about, we suggest you click the video above and watch it because presumably Blizzard might want to get it taken down ASAP, lest it ruins whatever surprise they have in store for you guys at BlizzCon 2013. The video goes through the different game modes, introduces a bit of the new artisan, the Mystic, and more. It certainly looks like the expansion will be addressing a lot of the issues players had with the original, but whether it will be enough to get players to return and keep playing remains to be seen. Now here is an interesting bit of news for those of you who love Diablo 3 and all things associated with this particular dungeon crawler – especially for those who have played it on the console instead of on a desktop or notebook computer. The folks over at Blizzard has announced a piece of news that will certainly make this weekend sweeter concerning the upcoming Diablo 3 expansion, which is known as Reaper of Souls. It is said that Reaper of Souls has been planned and confirmed for the next generation Sony PS4, with a playable version of the game even being made available for the masses to give it a go over at BlizzCon, which will be happening this coming November 8 to 9, accompanied by DualShock 4 touchpad features to boot.

Needless to say, now that we know all of that, there is one more major question to ask – for the meantime, that is. Does this particular announcement of a PS4 Reaper of Souls expansion imply a non-delayed multi-platform launch date? Only time will be able to tell, but it definitely is a pleasant surprise since Reaper of Souls was originally announced as an PC expansion without any mention of it ending up as a console version.
