Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Review

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Review

Samsung released its latest Galaxy S Android smartphone earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy S4, which since then has sold like hotcakes as it’s been released globally. One thing we didn’t expect was for there to be an additional version of the Galaxy S4 released shortly after its release that would allow the device to become extremely durable as it has been made to be water and dust-resistant and has a IP67 certification.

If you’re the kind of person who finds themselves in an environment that requires to outfit your smartphone with a special case in order to survive through the day, we’re sure you’ve been keeping an eye on the Galaxy S4 Active as other Android devices that offer water and dust resistance tend to not have the most earth-shattering specs. Samsung has already caught the attention of many with its Galaxy S4, so let’s see if making it resistant to water and dust makes it an even more valuable device. (more…)

Yelp iPhone app now lets you post reviews from within, support coming soon to Android

Yelp iPhone app now lets you post reviews from within, support coming soon to Android

Here’s something that may surprise you: yesterday, Yelp users couldn’t actually post reviews from within the company’s iPhone app. Wild, right? Today’s update, however, changes that, bringing it more in line with rival Foursquare. The revised iOS app, which should be hitting the App Store momentarily, will bring the feature to all users across 22 countries, and we’re told that the new button for reviews will appear where the “Tips” button has sat in the past. Interestingly, Yelp intends to still hold some power over what you write — if your “review” is deemed too brief, it could end up as a tip; thankfully, users can always go back later, add a bit more detail and have it ported over to the review side. Just remember: you can totally get sued for posting negative reviews. Womp, womp.

Hands On: Samsung Curved OLED TV Review

Samsung announced today they would be bringing its 55-inch Curved OLED TV (Model# KN55S9C) to the U.S. market, which was previously only made available in Korean markets, for a MSRP of $8999. As the name suggest, the Curved OLED TV uses the the same floating design that was introduced earlier this year at CES, which gives the viewer the feeling content is “floating.” We were given some time to get some “hands-on” time with the Curved OLED TV, or rather, we stared at the TV for a couple of minutes, so let’s get into why this is a TV you’d consider buying. Did The Real ‘Heisenberg’ Also ‘Break Bad’?

Did The Real Heisenberg Also 'Break Bad'? Many die-hard fans like myself, who can’t get enough of the award-winning AMC TV drama, "Breaking Bad,"
have often thought that the alter-ego character "Heisenberg" was the
invention of anti-hero Walter White, played by actor Bryan Cranston. In
actuality, the chemistry professor referenced the name in Season 1 as an
homage to the famous German physicist, Werner Karl Heisenberg.

Excalibur Dehydrator Review: The Ultimate Home Jerky Machine

If jerky, dried fruit, and dried vegetables aren’t dietary staples for you, they should be. Enduring edibles are equally handy on camping trips, in an office, or on your couch in your underwear. For 20 years, the Ronco Food Dehydrator has been my personal jerky go-to. It would take a killer dehydrator to dethrone it. The Excalibur did just that.
