GTA 5 Players Attempting To Manipulate In Game Stock Market

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 was just updated to allow for players to take part in Grand Theft Auto Online yesterday, although its launch didn’t go without a few hitches here and there. If you were one of the many who weren’t able to access Grand Theft Auto Online, then you were probably forced to spend your time buying and selling in-game stock as it looks like that seems to be a portion of the game many people are addicted to these days. GTA Online Hits Some Bumps in the Road

Grand Theft Auto V OnlineAccording to Take Two Interactive, Grand Theft Auto V was a huge success bringing in $1 billion in its first three days after launching, however some performance issues have hindered the recent launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, tied to this release. Grand Theft Auto Online is something new for Rockstar Games and will allow players to participate in many of the same activities that they would with the distributed game, but online in a “living world” with multiple players.

Reviewing Rockstar’s Twitter account, it appears there are multiple people reporting issues with access and performance to the online version of the game and Rockstar is getting back to them individually with a summary of what the problems are and what is being addressed. They are even offering an automated email to alert users when the identified items are addressed.

Grand Theft Auto Online will allow as many as 16 participants to embark on a number of adventures in sunny Los Santos and Blaine county. Activities including crime & chaos, individual or group jobs, races and sports such as golf and base jumping. There is also the ability to customize your character and earn cashflow and reputation. Rockstar also sets the expectation of some “growing pains” in the form of crashes, glitches and some amusing and crazy bugs as they work on this new platform.

GTA 5 PC Petition Reaches Over 550,000 Signatures

Each day that passes in the life of a PC gamer is probably tougher to get through than the last considering Rockstar Games had the gall to release Grand Theft Auto 5 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 without even thinking of the PC gamers. Because of that, PC gamers have taken to Change.org’s petition to hopefully bring Grand Theft Auto 5 to the PC, with the petition hitting over 450,000 signatures last week shortly after the game’s official release. It hasn’t even been a full week since we reported the petition hitting 450,000 signatures, and today, the petition has received over 100,000 signatures, making the new tally over 550,000 signatures. GTA Online Believed To Receive Microtranscations Treatment [Rumor]

GTA Online Believed To Receive Microtranscations Treatment [Rumor]

Just the other day, we reported on a rumor Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 could possibly be jumping onto the microtransaction bandwagon in the near future. The rumor originated from someone on Reddit who happened to stumble onto the game requesting an XML file hosted on Rockstar’s site when attempting to access the store section in the game’s pause menu. It looks like if Rockstar Games is planning on offering microtransaction within Grand Theft Auto 5, it’ll be doing so once Grand Theft Auto Online launches.

The images Reddit user 1880 found look to offer in-game credit that range from $100,000 all the way up to $1.25 million in-game cash. In addition to those images, the following description was also found in the XML file:

“Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.”

At this point, Rockstar isn’t commenting on this recent discovery, although if Rockstar plans on making microtransactions possible in Grand Theft Auto Online, we’re sure they’ll make their announcement closer to its launch, which will take place on October 1.

GTA 5 PC Petition Boosted To Over 450,000 Signatures Shortly After Release

One day prior to the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, PC gamers helped a petition located on Change.org to jump from 200,000 signatures back in late July up to 350,000 signatures. Now that the game is available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, PC gamers really don’t have anything better to do than complain they don’t have a version of Grand Theft Auto 5 to play, and as a result, the Change.org petition has jumped to over 450,000 signatures.
