Flying inside the cockpit of a fighter jet is the best roller coaster

Strap yourself in your chair. Put down the coffee mug. And make sure you have an empty stomach because you’re about to take a ride in a flying roller coaster. Or well, the closest thing there is to a flying roller coaster. The video below gives you the backseat cockpit view of an ultra low flying RAF’s Typhoon frontline jet fighter. The sights are incredible, the speed is fierce and the turns are just ridiculous. What a powerful machine.

MINI Roller Coaster Offers Plenty Of Thrills

There are some car brands that happen to be icons of a particular era, and somehow or rather, the very same icon has made its way to being a long lasting one, where even after a few model generations down the road, the general shape and spirit of the vehicle remains the same, although you can definitely expect a whole lot more technological advancements added to the modern day era car. The MINI is one of them, and to see classic MINIs purring on the road these days is a joy. We are glad to report that MINI does not want to remain as a relic of an era past, which is why MINI Canada and Anomaly have teamed up to create an exhilarating execution for the brand’s ‘Not Normal’ campaign.

In order to depict the ride’s go-kart handling capability, a trio of MINI Cooper S models were specially redesigned in a manner to resemble that of a roller coaster. This was done with the assistance of production company Asymetric. This particular customized MINI Roller coaster has been specially refitted, where the roof and rear seats are no longer part of the equation, while they have been replaced by roller coaster carts, frames, LEDs, decals, and wind blowers.

GE Is Turning a Six Flags Roller Coaster Into an F-35 Launcher

Superman: Escape from Krypton has been terrifying Six Flags Magic Mountain visitors since 1997. Once the tallest roller coaster on the planet and the first to employ a linear motor system, Superman launched riders up a 415-foot vertical track at 100 MPH. Now GE is working to convert the technology behind the amusement park ride into an electric catapult capable of flinging F-35s into action. More »

Mario Kart Tracks Get Recreated in Roller Coaster Tycoon

Many consider the Roller Coaster Tycoon series to be a classic game that satisfies your SimCity-like urges to build stuff, but without stuff like earthquakes. Roller Coaster Tycoon is simple, but can also be a deep experience. You can also use it to build some really cool things – like Mario Kart tracks for instance.

It’s always fun to use one game to build things from other games. It’s not all about Minecraft, people. Although yes, that is a fun and awesome game. Hopefully next we will see someone make a Minecraft version of Roller Coaster Tycoon that has Mario Kart tracks.

So now I’m curious, who out there still plays Roller Coaster Tycoon? If you don’t, what is your favorite sim/building game?

World’s Coolest Dad (of the Week) Builds a Backyard Roller Coaster for His Daughter

When I was younger, I was obsessed with two things: toy cards and Coca-Cola. So one day, my cooler-than-cool father surprised me with a toy car he put together from scrap blocks of wood, all covered with cut-up Coke cans.

It seems like there isn’t anything that doting fathers won’t do. Another shining example is this dad who built his daughter her very own roller coaster, right in their backyard.

    Backyard Coaster

Yes, you read that right: he built her an actual roller coaster! It’s smaller than the ones you see at amusement parks and it’s sort of a manual-type of coaster since the wagon has to be pushed upward until it reaches the peak. But it’s still pretty awesome and features a 12-foot drop. Check it out in the video below.

Pretty awesome, isn’t it?… Though he should think about buying a helmet for his daughter.
