There have been talks that Microsoft could be looking to introduce a virtual reality headset of their own and with Facebook acquiring Oculus Rift and Sony unveiling Project Morpheus, we can only imagine that Microsoft does not want to be left out of the game.

Now according to a recent report from TechCrunch, they are claiming that Microsoft might have purchased augmented reality-related intellectual property from a wearable tech company called Osterhout Design Group. The purchase is said to be valued at around $100-$150 million. (more…)

According to an earlier report, it was suggested that Apple was working on new iPhones that would be released later this year. Given Apple’s schedule this is pretty much a given, except that the report claims that Apple will be releasing not just one, but two iPhones of the big screen variety which dredges up rumors from the past.

Based on the rumors, it has been strongly suggested that Apple could be bumping the screen size on future iPhones to the 4.7-inch variety (the rumors suggests a 5.5-inch model could be in the works as well). (more…)

We have been hearing quite a number of rumors lately regarding the Sony A77’s successor, which at the moment is currently tipped to be the A77II. According to earlier rumors, apparently the camera is due for an announcement in May and now according to Sony Alpha Rumors, they are “confirming” that this is true.

Apparently they have been tipped off by one of their highly trusted sources who revealed to them that the announcement will be made in May. In fact the announcement will actually be taking place at the World Photography Awards that will be held in London during the 1st to 18th of May. (more…)

Come this Thursday, Microsoft will be hosting an event of their own in which many expect Office for iPad to be launched. According to the rumors, Office for the iPad has already been developed but apparently Microsoft is waiting for the greenlight to release the app by its new CEO, Satya Nadella, which we guess could take place this Thursday.

Now apart from launching Office for iPad, Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet claims that Microsoft could be launching another product as well, this time in the form of an Enterprise Mobility Suite. Essentially this is a licensing bundle designed for large enterprises in mind. According to Foley, this will allow IT managers at larger enterprises to manage iPads, iPhones, Android, and Windows devices, sort of like a one-size-fits-all version of BlackBerry’s BES. (more…)
