“Powered By Android” Boot Screen Required By Google (Rumor)

“Powered By Android” Boot Screen Required By Google (Rumor)It goes without saying that Google’s Android has a wider adoption rate compared to any other smartphone platform in the market at the moment, but how many folks out there are fully aware that they are making use of Google’s mobile operating system? I am quite sure that you who are more technically proficient would have come across some friends or family who claim that they are using a “Galaxy” operating system, or in some other cases, a “DROID”. Google might be looking into increasing the overall awareness of Android by requiring devices with Play Store access to feature the words “Powered by Android” as the device boots up.

Lumia 930 Might Skip Microsoft BUILD Conference [Rumor]According an earlier rumor, it was suggested that Nokia could be unveiling a couple of new phones at the Microsoft BUILD conference which is taking place on the 2nd of April. The phones in question are the Nokia Lumia 630 and the Lumia 930, but now according to a new rumor, it seems that the Lumia 930 might not be announced at BUILD after all.

This is according to the folks at NokiaPowerUser who claims that their sources have told them that this is because the Lumia 930 is simply not ready for unveiling yet. Apple Reportedly Tried To Hire Swiss Watchmakers For iWatch

Apple Reportedly Tried To Hire Swiss Watchmakers For iWatch

Is the iWatch real? At the moment it seems like the device is merely a rumor and we have no way of knowing if it really exists, but as the saying goes, when there’s smoke, there’s fire. Recently a report from the Financial Timesseems to confirm that, according to a quote from Jean-Claude Biver, president of Watches and Jewelry at LVMH, “Apple has contacted some of my employees – I saw the emails personally.”

However it seems that despite Apple’s reputation and size, it looks like not many in the watch industry are particularly inclined to work with them, at least that’s based on the feedback that some watch companies have given. In the case of LVMH, Biver said that his employees have since rejected Apple’s advances. (more…)

Twitter #music Could Be Relaunched With Improvements [Rumor]As reported the other day, Twitter has decided to give its #music service the boot. Basically what it did was provide users with a hashtag in which they could use to discover new music, sort of like Twitter’s way of helping with the music discovery process. It was a good idea but we guess Twitter decided that maybe it wasn’t very successful and canned it.

Now for those who might be a little disappointed by the move, you might be pleased to learn that according to a report from The Wall Street Journal, it looks like Twitter may simply be revamping the service as opposed to dropping it entirely. (more…)

Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite Could Be Announced On Thursday [Rumor]

Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite Could Be Announced On Thursday [Rumor]Come this Thursday, Microsoft will be hosting an event of their own in which many expect Office for iPad to be launched. According to the rumors, Office for the iPad has already been developed but apparently Microsoft is waiting for the greenlight to release the app by its new CEO, Satya Nadella, which we guess could take place this Thursday.
