While the rumors of Amazon making their own Android tablets proved to be true, we have also been hearing that Amazon might be interested in entering the smartphone market as well. However fast forward to 2014 and we still haven’t seen or heard anything yet, apart from rumors and speculation.

A new report from The Information has revealed that those plans may finally come into fruition later this year, where Amazon could be looking to launch their smartphone, which is reportedly known internally as Project Aria (not to be confused with Google’s Project Ara), in multiple markets including the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. There has been a lot of talk about the LG G3, and rightfully so. Last year’s LG G2 proved to be quite a hit, especially with its camera which we were pleasantly surprised to discover that it managed to hold its on under low-lighting conditions.

Safe to say that with last year’s success, many are looking forward to the LG G3 and what it could bring to the table. Now thanks to a recent tweet by @evleaks, it seems that he has managed to “confirm” that the LG G3 could be packing a QHD display, a display that was rumored to be part of the Galaxy S5 which did not happen. Come next week, the Game Developers Conference (GDC) will be held. The event will last from the 17th of March until the 21st of March, and we guess it’s really anyone’s guess as to what might be shown off or shared during the event.

However if the rumors are to be believed, there is a chance that Sony could be taking the event as an opportunity to share more details about its virtual reality headset, which at this point in time very little is known about it. (more…)

Earlier this year in January, Sony announced a new phone by the name of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra. However at that time it was suggested that the handset might only see a release in markets for Asia and Africa, meaning that those of us living stateside might not be able to look forward to the device at all.

Well it seems that Sony might have had a change of heart, at least according to tipster @evleaks whose recent tweet has suggested that the Xperia T2 Ultra could actually be making its way onto T-Mobile after all! T-Mobile has been a supporter of Sony for a while now and has released several Sony handsets in the past, so we guess it wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination to think that T-Mobile might offer up the  Xperia T2 Ultra as well. We have heard rumors of a Google Nexus 8, and in all honesty it isn’t that far fetched. After all Google has had devices of different sizes, such as the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 as far as tablets are concerned, so it wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination to think that an 8-inch tablet would be on the list as well.

Now for the most part, Google has used Qualcomm’s chipsets for its devices and unsurprisingly so considering that Qualcomm is a big name and popular choice when it comes to chipsets for mobile devices.
