Given we already seem to know so much about this year’s HTC One successor, you have to wonder what will be left for the struggling Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer to show off at its March 25th showcase event. Thanks to this lengthy video leak, they might as well box ’em up and get the phone down to the shops already.

We’re sure there are photographers out there who can’t wait to see what Sony will introduce in the successor of the Sony A77. So far the specs the camera still remains somewhat of a mystery, but now according to a post by Sony Alpha Rumors, a few extra details have made their way online.
For starters it seems that the Sony A77’s successor will officially be known as the Sony A77II, which sounds a little weird but perhaps Sony has their reasons for naming it such. Also their trusted sources have also informed them that the camera will be announced late Spring and will be released in stores in Summer. (more…)

Is Nokia done with Lumia devices now that they have announced a new series of Android phones? Hardly. In fact we’d doubt Microsoft would even let that happen!
That being said, thanks to a recent tweet by @evleaks, it seems that we can look forward to a new Windows Phone handset in the future which is currently known by its codename “Martini”. (more…)

Earlier this year and ahead of MWC 2014, LG announced their latest flagship handset, the LG G Pro 2 which is the successor to last year’s LG G Pro. From what we can tell, based on LG’s timetable from 2013, is that the South Korean manufacturer tends to release flagship devices twice a year.
We saw the LG G Pro launched earlier in the year, which was then followed up by the LG G2. What this means is that later this year, we can look forward to the LG G3 as well, but when exactly? Well according to the latest rumors, it seems that we can look forward to the handset as soon as June 2014. (more…)

Beyonce is an artist that holds some serious star power. Back in 2013, the singer decided to test the limits of her popularity when she released her new album without any fanfare or announcements. Safe to say at that time, that was pretty much all anyone could talk about on social media.
This kind of breaks tradition where artists usually drops hints, or keeps reminding their fans that their album is about to be released. Turns out Beyonce did not have anything to worry about as the album broke the iTunes record where it was released as an exclusive, and now Apple wants to recreate that effect with other artists as well.
According to a report from Billboard, Apple’s VP of the iTunes Store, Robert Kondrk, had been pressuring label executives every since January to follow in the steps of Beyonce and release more albums that would exclusive to iTunes. (more…)

Just last week during MWC 2014, BlackBerry announced the BlackBerry Z3 smartphone. This isn’t a new announcement per se since the phone had been leaked and rumored about several times ahead of its announcement where it was known by its codename, Jakarta.
The phone would be the first phone resulting from BlackBerry and Foxconn’s efforts, and it is admittedly not exactly a phone with the most amazing specs. The device was meant for emerging markets and it is understandable that they chose lower-end specs to make it more affordable.
One of the rumored specs was that the handset would pack a 540×960 display but according to new reports, a 720p HD display might make it onto the phone instead. (more…)

We have been hearing a lot about Apple’s plans for sapphire lately. Rumored plans, to be exact. While Apple has not denied their involvement in GT Advanced Technology’s sapphire plant in Arizona, the exact use of the material is still being speculated on.
According to the rumors, some claim that the sapphire will be used in Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6 where it will be applied to the display of the phone. Others claim that it will be used in the company’s upcoming iWatch, but in a recent report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook was quoted as saying that the Arizona facility was being used for a “secret project” that he couldn’t talk about. When it comes to Windows Phone brands, Lenovo is probably not a company you would think of. Sure the company makes Windows-based products like laptops and tablets, but when it comes to smartphones, they tend to favor Android.
That being said, it seems that Lenovo might be interested in attempting to break into the Windows Phone market with a smartphone of their own, according to reports from WP7Forum.ru. The reports are claiming that Lenovo will be launching their first Windows Phone handset around April which is following the announcement of Windows Phone 8.1. (more…)
