Motorola Working On Something Called The Quark X

Motorola Working On Something Called The Quark XWith Lenovo expected to buy Motorola Mobility from Google, we’re sure many are wondering what will be the fate of Motorola’s released devices while under Google. Well according to @evleaks, it seems that perhaps Motorola could be working on a successor to the Moto X before they are sold off to Lenovo.

In a recent tweet by @evleaks, he mentioned that while everyone was busy showing off their wares at MWC 2014, Motorola is busy working on a certain device called the “Quark X”. Final Fantasy VII Remake Could Be A Possibility

Square Enix must surely have been approached a fair number of times in the past, where they were asked about the possibility of remaking Final Fantasy VII – an original which many believed could never be surpassed in terms of the game’s greatness. Well, a new round of fresh rumors concerning a Final Fantasy VII remake has begun yet again, and this time around, the rumor’s source has been traced to NeoGAF member Verendus. Verendus claims to be an industry insider who has had a fair amount of hits in the past, where in an interview with Final Fantasy VII director Yoshinori Kitase, Kitase mentioned, “… you must believe me when I say it would take a lot to happen,” when posed with the eternal question of a Final Fantasy VII remake.

Titanfall Could Be Dropping Its Resolution To 720p [Rumor]

Titanfall Could Be Dropping Its Resolution To 720p [Rumor]Titanfall is an upcoming FPS game that will be making its way onto Microsoft’s platforms like Windows and the Xbox. The release of the game is set for the 11th of March for the Xbox One and the bad news for Xbox One gamers is that the final resolution of the game will not be as high as you might think. According to a post on NeoGAF, a certain poster by the name of CBOAT (who has in the past been pretty reliable regarding Microsoft-related leaks) revealed that Titanfall for the Xbox One will only be released at 720p instead of 792p which was the original plan. No word on when Respawn Entertainment decided to drop the resolution towards the end, but for the less discerning gamer, we reckon it probably won’t matter too much.

However for gamers who are really picky about their graphics, perhaps you might notice some slight differences. It is actually quite surprising given that the beta of the game ran fine at 792p, so if we had to guess perhaps there were some last minute issues that might have forced Respawn Entertainment to drop it down to 720p. Either way we reckon gameplay will be more important than graphics. After all why bother with a game that looks good if it doesn’t play well, right? Either way we guess we will have to wait for the game’s release to see if the drop to 720p will make a huge impact. Anyone else disappointed by this?

Nexus 6 Relies On 64 bit 8 Core Snapdragon 810 (Rumor)Now, it might seem rather premature to say this, but the alleged Nexus 6 (which will be a Google device for sure) is all set to arrive with a 64-bit 8-core Snapdragon 810 chipset, at least according to the folks over at Digitimes who have cited a new report that hailed from China’s Economic Daily News. It was mentioned that the Snapdragon 810 will arrive some time in the second half of next year, where the chipset is said to boast of a whopping 8-cores that will run in an ARM big.LITTLE configuration, allowing it to merge both speed and battery efficiency in a single form factor.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Gold Existence Gains More Evidence

Samsung Galaxy S5 Gold Existence Gains More EvidenceWe did talk about how the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 would arrive in a shade of gold as well recently according to an alleged leaked screenshot from Vodafone’s internal system, which does not come as a surprise at all considering how well Apple has done with their gold colored iPhone 5s. Apart from that, it does seem as though HTC intends to replicate such a success using gold to shade their brand new HTC M8 (which is touted to be the sequel to the HTC One). Well, it seems that there is more evidence of a gold colored Samsung Galaxy S5, where a still shot from a leaked video as seen above does see to reveal a fourth shade, which does suggest that gold will be part of the overall line up, where it will accompany the likes of black, white, and blue.

Google’s Smartwatch Could Be Made By LG [Rumor]

Googles Smartwatch Could Be Made By LG [Rumor]So we have heard the rumors that Google could be building a smartwatch of their own, although it seems like Google will be taking the Nexus route by outsourcing the manufacturing to another company, and if the rumors are to be believed, LG has been pegged as the manufacturer of Google’s smartwatch. According to the reports, Google and LG have teamed up to produce the company’s first smartwatch. The smartwatch’s operating system is expected to debut in March, while the actual device itself will make an appearance in June during the Google I/O conference.

Interestingly enough despite many assuming Google might turn to Android for the smartwatch operating system, the rumor suggests that the smartwatch might run a platform that will be based heavily upon Google Now, which coincidentally enough is also part of Google’s other piece of wearable technology, Google Glass. Assuming all of this is true, it will be interesting to see what Google’s smartwatch efforts will result in. So far in 2014 we have already seen a handful of smartwatches make their debut, like the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear Neo, Huawei’s TalkBand, the Sony SmartWatch 2, and the Pebble Steel, so we have to wonder how Google’s own offering will stand up to the competition, or if Google’s branding is strong enough where they will manage to attract new customers anyway.

ASUS Transformer Book Duet Might Be Killed Due To Pressure From Google [Rumor]

ASUS Transformer Book Duet Might Be Killed Due To Pressure From Google [Rumor]Earlier this year at CES 2014, ASUS took the wraps off a very interesting hybrid device, and by hybrid we’re not talking about a laptop that doubles as a tablet. By hybrid we mean a laptop that double as a tablet that runs both Android and Windows at the same time. This came in the form of the ASUS Transformer Book Duet and was a pretty interesting device to say the least. Now given that Google and Microsoft are rivals, we can’t say that Google or Microsoft might have been too pleased to have both operating systems offered in the same device, and now according to a report from DigiTimes, it has been suggested that Google could be pressuring ASUS into never launching the device.
