The Wall Street Journal is reporting that long-rumored Facebook autoplaying video ads
Ever published a tweet that you wish you had taken time to edit before putting it out there on the internet? Unfortunately as it stands, there is no way to edit a tweet, save for actually deleting the entire thing, but according to The Desk’s Matthew Keys, word has it that Twitter is currently working on an edit function that will allow users to edit their tweets “slightly”, and only once. Basically Twitter does not want the overall message of the tweet to be completely changed, and while a Twitter spokesperson declined to comment on the rumored feature, here’s how it is supposed to work.
After publishing a tweet, the edit button will appear for a brief period of time. The exact duration remains unknown, but presumably we won’t be able to edit tweets we made last week. From there theu user will be able to correct typos or any grammatical errors, or perhaps even edit a hashtag to use one that is trending at the moment, and other small changes, but like we said, the overall message will remain more or less the same. Just like Facebook, Twitter probably works on numerous projects that will help enhance or improve its service, but at the same time it does not mean it will be realized, but what do you guys think? Would you like an “edit” button for Twitter?

Due to the rapid speed at which technology is advancing, we can look forward to reading about and seeing new technology being demonstrated on a continuous basis, and come 2014 we should expect no less, especially from Samsung who is rumored to have four tablets up for launch in Q1 2014 alone! Assuming that is the case, we can look forward to these tablets being announced at either CES 2014, or MWC 2014, or perhaps even both. In any case this seems to corroborate the rumors that we have been hearing recently, what with Samsung working on high-end tablets sporting AMOLED displays, along with the rumor of a possible Galaxy Tab 3 Lite.
As for the remaining tablets, it has been rumored that one of them could be a larger Galaxy Note tablet at 12.2” which has been going by the model number SM-P900, along with the possibility of a 13.3” tablet that has been making the rounds as well. In any case since none of this has been confirmed, do take it with a grain of salt for now, but if you’re a Samsung fan looking forward to seeing what Samsung has to offer in 2014, be sure to check back with us during CES and MWC 2014 for the details!

Earlier we had reported on a rumor that the Lumia 929 for Verizon could be rebranded as the Lumia Icon, doing away with the numbered models. Unfortunately apart from that piece of information, we’re still in the dark regarding a possible release time, but thanks to a new theory, it has been suggested that the 16th of January 2014 could be a possible date. This is based on how Verizon typically likes to launch their products on a Thursday, not to mention the phone could be officially announced at CES 2014, allowing it to generate some hype and publicity prior to its release, as opposed to Verizon just releasing the device outright without any fanfare.
The Thursday theory seems to line up as last we heard, the previously rumored release date for the handset was pegged for the 21st of November, also a Thursday. In any case we will be taking this with a grain of salt for now and suggest you do the same, but with us already being halfway through to December, we wouldn’t be surprised if the handset’s launch was pushed to 2014 instead. While it has not been confirmed, the Lumia Icon is rumored to be a smaller version of the Lumia 1520 and will share most of its specs, except in a smaller 5” body compared to the Lumia 1520’s phablet proportions.

We did talk about how Nokia could very well be flirting with a variant of the Android mobile operating system sometime last week, with the device in question being the Nokia Normandy. Well, it does seem as though plans to roll out such a device with an Android derivative could very well be shelved for good. Having said that, Nokia must be commended for having been involved with Android-powered devices in a rather deep manner, considering how they already have a bunch of low-end Android devices in the pipeline, in addition to an affordable 7″ tablet with a Snapdragon 400 processor running underneath the hood.
Nokia’s Peter Skillman, who is head of user interface design, has been in charge of coming up with a variant for an Android-powered device, but it does seem as though his task has come to the end of the road. Nokia does seem to be shifting its focus on wearable devices in the same vein as that of Google Glass though. Do you think that Nokia should concentrate solely on Windows Phone 8 and the subsequent versions of the mobile operating system, or shift their attention to churn out the relevant hardware range for at least two mobile operating systems?

Samsung Galaxy S4 And Galaxy S4 Mini To Get “Black Editions” Come 2014 [Rumor]
Posted in: Today's ChiliThe Samsung Galaxy S4 is almost a year old now, but given the popularity of the Galaxy S lineup of devices, it is not surprising that Samsung is looking to squeeze as much money out of the lineup as possible. We had recently seen Samsung release a Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition, and if you’re after a Galaxy S4 handset but were holding out for whatever reasons, you might be interested to learn that according the folks at SamMobile, they have been tipped off that Samsung is set to release two new variants of the Galaxy S4 handset and the Galaxy S4 mini.
Their tipster has informed them that this variant is expected to be the “black edition”, although we’re not sure what exactly does that entail. Could it come with special accessories, a differently themed look, or could it be that both handsets will be painted entirely in black, which we have to admit sounds like it might be a good idea and would look incredibly sleek if that were true! Either way we expect the hardware to remain exactly the same and if their tipster’s information is to be believed, we can look forward to the handsets released come February 2014, which is a little odd given that the Galaxy S5 could be announced by then, meaning that the Galaxy S4 would be considered “old news” by then.

We have been hearing a lot of rumors these days surrounding Apple’s own wearable technology, the iWatch. Most of the rumors claim that the watch will see a release in 2014, or to be more specific, the second half of 2014, and according to a recently rumor by Chinese website , C Technology, they are claiming that Apple’s iWatch could debut in October 2014 and will be released alongside Apple’s next-gen iPhone, which we can only assume will be the iPhone 6. The rumor claims that Apple is currently testing two iWatch prototypes of different screen sizes as they are undecided on which size would be better.
The rumor goes on to state that the iWatch will sport a 100mAh battery and will apparently come with wireless charging capabilities that will allow users to charge the device from up to a 100m away! In the past we have seen Apple patents which seems to point at the Cupertino company looking into wireless charging for their products, and recent rumors have even suggested that wireless charging could make its way into Apple’s smartphones. Apple is also reportedly struggling with the battery life of the iWatch which seems to last about 1-2 days. If that is the case, Apple will undoubtedly face the same criticism as Samsung did with the Galaxy Gear whose battery life is also around a day as well.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys make of it so far? Would a 1-2 day battery life be acceptable if it could be charged wirelessly? Meaning that you could still use it around the house or office as long as the wireless charger was plugged in nearby?

Over the past year or so, we have been hearing vague rumors about the Canon EOS 7D’s successor, the EOS 7D MK II. However interestingly enough, the folks at Canon Rumors have received a tip in which the tipster claims that a EOS 7D MK II will not be arriving anytime soon, if it hasn’t been completely shelved. Canon Rumors notes that this particular piece of rumor seems a little odd, especially based on what Canon has been saying recently, not to mention we have seen leaked spec sheets and how the camera has been rumored for a 2014 announcement.
In any case perhaps the camera has not been completely shelved, but perhaps it has merely been taken back to the drawing board for a variety of reasons. In the past we have seen how Sony’s new president has decided to put a halt on camera models that were merely updates to existing models in favor of releasing more groundbreaking products instead, so perhaps Canon could be doing something similar, especially in the competitive space that is the camera market. Either way take this rumor with a huge grain of salt for now, but do check back with us for more updates!
