When it comes to digital compact cameras, these are dime a dozen out there in the market, although you would find that most folks would want to take the route of the DSLR or a System Camera in order to capture better looking shots. Nikon still sees the Coolpix range of digital compact cameras as part of their bread and butter, and has recently introduced a trio of models under the Nikon Coolpix S-series, where they will all feature a high-power zoom model that is equipped with a range of exposure modes, a Wi-Fi function, location data functions with a built-in world map, and support for movie recording with 5-axis vibration reduction, in addition to a family model which delivers simple operation and features including water- and shockproof capability.
First of all, we have the Nikon Coolpix S9700 which is a super high-power zoom model that will boast of a 30x optical zoom lens, a quartet of exposure modes which will expand shooting possibilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, and location data functions with a built-in world map.
As for the Nikon Coolpix S9600, this stylish, compact model will be able to deliver simple operation and comes equipped with a Pre-focus autofocus mode, Glamour Retouch functions, and supports recording of movies with 5-axis vibration reduction
For those who feel that their little ones could be a liability when it comes to handling a camera, or simply want to be prepared for those unexpected moments, then the Nikon Coolpix S32 would fit the bill perfectly. Touted to be a “worry-free” model, just about anyone is able to enjoy snapping photos using this bad boy as it comes with advanced water- and shockproof capabilities. You can basically use it in depths of up to approximately 10 meters deep, and it can withstand falls from a height of approximately 1.5 m. There is also an Image Lock function so that everyone who uses it would not delete any of the images by accident.
Any takers out there for the cameras above?
