This 77-year-old man from the Czech Republic has never been luckier. As he foolishly scurries across a train track, the man mis-times his walk and almost gets killed by a speeding train. The train comes so close to hitting him on the tracks that it actually does. His foot is clipped by the train and you can see one of his shoes fly across the video. Judging by how fast his shoe is catapulted, you can imagine what would have happened to the rest of his body if he was half a step slower.
Watch snowboarder Xavier de la Rue arriving to the top of a mountain in a helicopter, then rappelling down a rocky cliff in order to be able to speed down an almost vertical virgin snow tube. It feels exhilarating to watch it—I can’t even imagine how it must feel in real life.
The dystopia created in this animation by Simon Russell is a world I hope to never be a part of: drones littered across the sky, surveillance cameras pointing every which way and for some reason, dubstep. It doesn’t all make sense but Russell’s imaginative take on the look of futuristic drones and cameras are perfectly chaotic and crazy. Some floating orb drones look like mini Death Stars while other cameras are like machine guns.
Judging by this video, BHX (Birmingham, England) is one of the worst airports to land and take-off during the winter. Just watch and hold on to your chair:

There are very few things as scary as having a war plane coming at you firing its machine gun. The Aviationist found this video of a Syrian Arab Air Force Mig-29 Fulcrum strafing at rebel positions. Oh yes, that war is still going on, although nobody is paying attention any more.

If you want to play the old “head in a jar” prank for April Fools’ Day this year, Instructables editor Mikeasaurus has you covered. Best of all, you don’t need an actual severed head to scare your friends. In fact, the gag is a lot simpler than it looks.
Basically you will be blending two pictures together in a photo editor to create flat image of a head, which is then laminated and submerged in a jar. When the flattened image in inserted into the curved jar, the distortion from the water gives the illusion of a decapitated head in a jar of preserving fluid. See. It’s simple.
See, no decapitation required. And it looks super freaky. So go scare some friends.

Adam Fisk hooked an 11-foot hammerhead shark near the coast line and ended being towed for 12 miles, which were covered in about two hours. According to Fisk, the shark ate a 5-pound bonito from his kayak. Another hammerhead was following him too.

I can’t begin to imagine the terror of this man trapped on a top floor terrace of a building on a 5 alarm fire. Thankfully, Houston’s firefighters were able to rescue him on time.

The pilot in this twisting and turning plane must be ridiculously disciplined, have palms that never sweat, a personality that never stresses and big brass ones because that’s what it takes to land a plane in such shit weather.
