This is terrible. Japan is getting under China’s blanket of gross air contamination. The situation is getting bad pretty quickly—proof that we need to think globally about gas emission controls. It’s not just about raising sea levels in the future. It’s about getting cancer now.
Wow. This incredible video of aerial combat in World War II has it all. And all of it is terrifying. Shocking video of a US Army infantry outpost hit the web today, showing an airstrike gone awry. The soldiers are waiting for the strike to take out a group of Taliban soldiers, when a 500-pound bomb explodes just a few feet from their outpost. A 500-pound American bomb.
The Indonesian volcano Kelud exploded with a powerful eruption on February 13, killing three people and prompting the evacuation of 100,000 people. The eruption sent a large plume of ash 10 miles (17 kilometers) high into the sky, drifting west across Java and over the Indian Ocean, causing the shutdown of several airports.
