Predicatables: Fortune Teller On Your WristDo you know someone who reads tea leaves, or swears by the accuracy of geomancy? Well, Israeli designer Dor Tal has reason to believe that humanity has arrived at a particular tipping point in our long and storied history, where fortunetelling could not only be pertinent, but useful in everyday life to boot. Of course, Dor Tal has come up with an app to support his belief, which means he will not be sending business in the direction of the local gypsy tarot reader anytime soon. His invention is known as “Predictables”, where it functions as a kind of automated social media stalker/calendar app.

Robot Attendant At Full Service Gas Station?

Do you think that you have grown up in an environment where everything is so convenient, so much so that you are upset when you need to do something by yourself instead of an automated process happening? Sten Corfitsen, an entrepreneur in Sweden, alongside his business partners who happen to be at a company based in Missouri, have stumbled upon the possibility of the next million dollar idea – Robogas. Robogas, in essence, is a fully automated, robotic refueling system which will hopefully feature at a nearby gas station in the future.

HAV 304 Airlander Is World’s Largest Aircraft

The obsession with the “world’s largest” of a particular thing continues, and this time around, it would be the HAV 304 Airlander that will carry the distinction of being the largest aircraft in the world. I guess even the Airbus A380 does not have a shoutout at all in this hat. The huge size of the HAV 304 Airlander does not make it an automatic enemy of Greenpeace, as it has been touted to be green and efficient. After all, it is a hybrid mode of transportation, is it not? The promotional video that you can see above will certainly give you a sense of foreboding as the HAV 304 Airlander flies over the plains, blotting out the sun in the process. In fact, it is touted to be able to fly for up to three weeks, measure a whopping 300 feet in length and does not need any kind of airport for it to take off. In comparison, the Airbus A380 measures 238.6 feet in length.

Chalice Symphony Makes Music Using Stella Artois Glasses

Chalice Symphony Makes Music Using Stella Artois GlassesI am quite sure that many of us grew up hearing about the fact that you could make a glass “sing” simply by running your finger along the wet edge of a glass. Inventor Andy Cavatorta has stumbled upon this particularly brilliant idea that is known as the Chalice Symphony, which happens to be a quartet of devices that will rely on Stella Artois’ signature drinking glasses which will be able to produce some unique sounding audio. Each of the “instruments” will be laden with plenty of technology, where the Star Harp is able to make use of robotics to play itself, while the Pyrophone would rely on software-controlled torches which will result in flute-like notes. As for the Hive, that happens to be a keyboard-driven cluster of bells while the Violina is a spinning string-like instrument that will rely on complex machinery.

Exosuit Explores The Depths Without The Need For A Submarine

Exosuit Explores The Depths Without The Need For A SubmarineThere is this sense of curiosity in humanity that continues to cause us to explore our environments, breaking new boundaries along the way, an exercise which more often than not carries its fair amount of risk. From space exploration to breaking the land speed record, here we are with the Exosuit that intends to help mankind plumb the depths of the oceans without having to sit in a specially modified submarine. Yes sir, the Iron Man-like 530 pounds, 6.5-feet tall Exosuit costs a bomb at $600,000, where it is capable of diving down to depths of 1,000 feet. Basically, the Exosuit is an aquatic super suit which is capable of keeping its human pilot alive and breathing for up to 50 hours at a time. I suppose being stuck in this suit for 40 plus hours is quite a challenge for most folks, talk about feeling claustrophobic!

Scientists Demonstrate Laser-Powered Mind Control in Best Way Possible

Scientists Demonstrate Laser-Powered Mind Control in Best Way Possible

Researchers call it the Fly Mind-Altering Device (aka "FlyMAD"), and to demonstrate the system’s effectiveness, they’ve shown that firing a laser at the head of a fly can compel it to flirt, and attempt to copulate, with a ball of wax. (Come on. You know you want to watch this.)
