No, this is not an intergalactic traffic jam, although those look just like what you see here, just with a lot of honking and space rage. This is a size comparison chart of every Sci-Fi ship ever. Ok, maybe not every spaceship, but it does cover just about every ship anybody cared about.

It was compiled by DeviantARTist Dirk Loechel. It must have taken him a long time, not to mention lots of research in a galaxy far far away. Let us know if you think he missed some. My eyes are just way too stunned looking at them all in one place.

Looking at this massive fleet, you can’t help but feel like Doctor Who that one time when every alien from anywhere showed up in the skies above to arrest him. That’s a frak-load of ships!

PEZ has always been a bit of a mixed blessing for me. The dispensers were so much better than the candy inside. It’s like the guys who made the candy said “our candy kind of sucks, what can we do to sell it to kids?” The answer? Stick it in a container with a flip-top character head, and you’ll sell billions. And that they did.

And while there are tons of really cool collectible Pez dispensers out there, this Alien PEZ dispenser had to be made by a fan, since the candy company never released one of their own.

It was made a few years back by Peter “Rat D” Davidson, and there’s not much to be said about this thing other than the fact that it’s a) awesome and b) PEZ needs to get on the phone with H.R. Giger and Ridley Scott today and see if they can work out a licensing deal.

The only thing better would be if it actually spit out another little Alien head inside before the candy came out. And acid.

eBay seller Hollywood’s Finest is selling what it claims to be a life-size replica of the All Terrain Scout Transport aka the AT-ST aka the Ewoks’ Bitch. However it seems like Hollywood’s Finest didn’t bother looking up the canonical dimensions of the ill-advised vehicle. This replica is 16ft. tall, but the Empire requires its AT-STs to be about 28ft. high. I think the replica still looks imposing despite its height deficiency.

Hollywood’s Finest said that the replica is made from metal and wood. It appears that the trailer that it’s standing on will be included with the purchase; that’ll make it much easier for the person who buys it to haul it around. The replica can also be detached from the trailer, thanks to an integrated metal stand. The walker’s head can also be lowered between its legs using a built-in winch if you need to fit it in a smaller space.

Offer at least £9,800 (~$15,700 USD) on Hollywood’s Finest’s eBay page to get a chance at owning the AT-ST replica. Just know that your lawn gnomes won’t be afraid of taking it on.

Forget the face on Mars and it’s mysterious pyramid structures. The universe is even stranger than that. Case in point, Han Solo, frozen in carbonite has been spotted on the planet Mercury. NASA’s Messenger probe found a raised shape on the surface of the planet that looks just like our smuggler friend after Boba Fett caught him and put him on ice.

Here is the NASA press release on the discovery:

A portion of the terrain surrounding the northern margin of the Caloris basin hosts an elevated block in the shape of a certain carbonite-encased smuggler who can make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.

If there are two things you should remember, it’s not to cross a Hutt, and that Mercury’s surface can throw up all kinds of surprises. This block may be part of the original surface that pre-dates the formation of Caloris, which was shaped by material ejected during the basin-forming event.

Looks like NASA is finally embracing its inner nerd-dork. Good job, NASA. Now get back to the Moon already. It’s right next door for God’s sake.

One of my all-time favorite TV shows is The Walking Dead on AMC. I know I’m not alone in really digging the show because it’s one of the most popular shows on TV. If you’re a fan, you’ll be thrilled to hear that AMC is currently getting a companion series ready for the air for 2015.

The Walking Dead companion series will be produced by the executive producers of the original series, Robert Kirkman and Gale Ann Hurd. AMC says that the shows currently very early in development but calls the show a “no-brainer.” AMCs Charlie Collier, president and general manager said that the new series will have an entirely new story.

What exactly will take place in the new show remains to be seen, but we do know it’s going to be set in the same post-apocalyptic world and follow a new group of survivors as they combat the zombie horde. Season four of The Walking Dead debuts October 13.
