Death Star 14k Gold Ring: Impressive. Most Impressive.

That’s no ring, it’s a space station! This men’s 14-karat white gold Star Wars ring features the Death Star on one side, and the Imperial Cog emblem on the other. It has a sandblasted and polished finish that even Grand Moff Tarkin would approve of.

The seller, artist Chelsea Swank has also done versions where stones are set in the Imperial Cog and Death Star. If you want, she can even add a Jedi Symbol or Rebel Alliance symbol.

This particular ring will cost you $1,050(USD), but that’s like a trillionth of what an actual Death Star would cost you. And you can’t even put that on your finger. Therefore, by my math, this ring is a true bargain.

X-Wing Fighter Pilot Crochet Helmet: Knit Leader, Standing By

It’s cold in space. Whether you are flying a TIE Fighter or an X-Wing Fighter, you need to dress warmly. Good thing that this X-Wing pilot’s helmet was crocheted to keep you warm and toasty as you zip through the trenches of the Death Star.

This adorable helmet was created by Etsy seller HandcraftedByColleen and it is perfect for long space flights. “Red Leader, this is Echo 7. Are you warm enough? Yeah, me too. This thing won’t protect me in a crash, but I sure am glad that my grandmother gifted the whole squadron these toasty helmets.”

While they’re great in space, the Rebel pilots could have used these on Hoth, to keep warm in their Snowspeeders.

Millennium Falcon Mac and PC Computer in One

Wanna make the Kessel Run in record time, while surfing the internet at the same time? You’d better use this Millenium Falcon computer then. It was the grand prize winner in last year’s Deconstruct for GOOD event sponsored by Good Magazine and Vizio.
Millenium Falcon pc and Mac
This Millennium Falcon has both a PC and a MAC inside. When you and your Wookiee co-pilot can’t agree on an operating system, use both. Builder Ken Swallow removed the insides of a model ship and replaced them with a Mac Titanium G4 motherboard and a MSI ATX motherboard (PC) while keeping the original sound effects from the toy intact.

He added fans, lights and power switches for both computers. So you have a full Windows 7 PC and MAC OSX 10.5.8 system, with Linksys wireless, an Apple airport card and more – all inside of a spaceship. Hyperspace on over to Etsy to get more specs, or buy it for $2,800(USD). If you can’t afford that, you can always borrow some credits from Jabba.

Darth Vader Samurai: Turning Japanese

Darth Vader is still one of the greatest villains in the history of entertainment. But did you know that his helmet was inspired by the helmets of Japanese Samurai warriors? Well you do now. In tribute to the Dark Lord’s Japanese roots, toy maker Avatar666 created this awesome little guy.

This custom Munny toy perfectly mashes up Vader with his Samurai inspiration, with a shiny little helmet, adorned with warrior details and dual-wielding blue lightsabers. Thought I really want them to be lightkatanas. And red.

This particular toy has already been sold, but you can email avatar666 if you’d like to custom order one for yourself.

You can check out more pics of Vader and avatar666′s other builds over on Flickr, where you can also find a custom Samurai Stormtrooper.

Doctor Chew: All 11 Doctors in Cookie Form

Check out these sweet Doctor Who cookies. They were made by some friends of tumblr user falsenostalgia-sundries and seeing them all laid out on that tray makes me think that this is an animated kid’s special waiting to happen. I would tune in to watch these cookies go on adventures through space and time. I’d rather eat them though.
doctor who cookies
They look pretty delicious. I wonder if the taste matches the the Doctor. I bet William Hartnell’s doctor tastes all stale and crusty, while Jon Pertwee is all flaky and smells funny. Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor probably tastes bitter, while David Tennant has crazy flavor all over the place. I would probably prefer the Tom Baker Jelly Baby flavored version.

Stormtrooper Head Cake: Slice It with a Lightsaber

Bring me the head of a Stormtrooper! That must be what the person who ordered this amazing cake said to the folks at Mike’s Amazing Cakes, who made this cake. It’s like the decapitated version of that life-size stormtrooper cake from last year.

Stormtroopers aren’t very bright, what with always having the Jedi mind trick used on them, so you can see how their head might end up on a platter after a lightsaber separates it from its owner.

This is probably how the Ewoks celebrated the victory at Endor. First they poked it with a stick and then they dug in with their furry little hands.

Seaweed Chewbacca: Under the Kashyyyk Sea

There’s a little known species of Wookiee that is often seen walking out of the ocean, known as Seaweed Wookiees. Okay, that’s a lie, but it would be cool to have ocean dwelling Wookiees that attacked folks on land. For now, all we have is this image from friends of redditor entreprenerds, who assembled this seaweed critter on a beach in Queensland.

chewbacca seaweed
It’s pretty cool and I never would have thought that seaweed would have made such good Wookiee fur. And yes, nerds, we are aware that his bandolier is on the wrong shoulder. I must be a super nerd myself, because it was the first thing that I noticed. If it bothers you that much, just do a horizontal transform in Photoshop and you’ll be fine.

It kind of looks like a Chewbacca scarecrow – which I would also like to see. Maybe this guy can help out with my request.

X-Wing Fighter Coffee Table: Stay on Target!

Alright kid, let’s blow this thing and go home… Check out this awesome X-Wing Fighter coffee table made from wood and glass. It looks stunning and it took Sean Regan and Aubrey Cohen 6 months to make it, carving it from a few hunks of wood.

xwing table

I love how dimensional it is, because the top half and bottom half hold the glass between them. That makes it look pretty sweet and also keeps it sturdy. You can try to make one yourself if you want, but I doubt it will look half as good.

If you were to pay for it, at a cost of about $14 an hour, this would cost in the neighborhood of $60,500. You could probably buy a real X-Wing Fighter for that – at least a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

This Dalek Cake Makes for a Happy Extermination Day, I Mean Birthday

Happy extermination day to you. Happy extermination day to you. I love a good Dalek cake and this cake was made by Mike’s Amazing Cakes for Irene’s 16th birthday. Hopefully that wasn’t her last, because you know how Dalek cakes can be. One minute you’re blowing out the candles and the next, you are lit up like an X-Ray as your ashes fall to the floor.
dalek cake for irene
Irene is a very lucky girl, because this is a quality Dalek cake – especially that egg-beater arm. The details are super nice. And if it tastes anything like it looks, she came back for seconds.

I’ve never had a Dalek cake for my birthday, so save me a piece Irene. If there is any left. Which there isn’t, of course. Now I’m sad, but that doesn’t make this cake any less awesome.

Fifth Element Fhloston Paradise Battle Recreated in LEGO

Remember the epic shootout sequence on Fhloston Paradise in The Fifth Element? Well, this is it, lovingly recreated in LEGO by builder Matt De Lonoy. Man, I love this movie. Where else are you going to find Milla Jovovich running around half naked with orange hair saying Leeloo Dallas Multipass?
fifth element

But I digress. The detail on this LEGO diorama is pretty amazing. It looks like he got all of the action scenes from this locale dead on.

fifth element 1
I love that he used parts from the LEGO Alien Conquest sets, since the aliens look so much like Mangalores from the movie.

Seriously, what geek doesn’t love this movie? I bet most of you will go watch it again after reading this. I know that’s what I’m doing. And hit the link to check out more images of this awesome LEGO build.
