How 3D Printing Supercharged Nike’s New Super Bowl Cleat

How 3D Printing Supercharged Nike's New Super Bowl Cleat

Almost a full year ago, Nike introduced its first shoe ever built with the help of 3D printing technology. The thing was, that cleat, the Vapor Laser Talon (seen below), was built for an absurdly specific purpose and market—just the 40 yard dash, just for NFL players. Now, though, Nike is bringing what it’s learned from the VLT to the consumer market—innovations that, without 3D printing, we might not have seen for years to come.

Musher's Secret Dog Paw WaxYour dog’s feet need protection in winter – especially from snow and
ice.  When looking for protective products, you want to consider three
things: minimizing slippage on ice, keeping your dog’s feet warm, and
keeping your dog away from chemicals used by local governments or
individuals to dissipate ice.  Each of these products achieves at least
one of these goals, and I consider them the very best of what’s

These Harry Potter Stilettos Look Enchanting

If you love something, wear it. There’s a reason why shirts, sweaters, skirts, caps, and even pants bearing some elements from a movie or TV show sells like hotcakes: its fans just can’t get enough of it.

These Harry Potter-inspired stilettos aren’t available in stores, because they were made specially for Redditor akasha446‘s wedding.

The bride wore the red Gryffindor pair (naturally!), while her bridesmaids rocked the heels featuring Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin house. The gems adorning the heels adds a bit of glam to each shoe.

The shoes were hand-painted by akasha446′s sister-in-law, samartypants, who also happens to be a Redditor. You can check out more pictures of the shoes in the gallery below.

Each Pair Tells a Story: Sebastian Errazuriz’s ’12 Shoes for 12 Lovers’

The relationship might be over. But the memories (or scars) from it will live on. If not in your heart, then in your mind.

I think that can be said in Sebastian Errazuriz’s case, as he drew inspiration from past relationships and ex-lovers for his new series called 12 Shoes for 12 Lovers.

As the title implies, each pair in the collection was inspired by an ex-girlfriend. Her personality, their relationship, and vivid memories are all brought to light and to life with each pair.

From the Rock (which is inspired by what seems to be Sebastian’s most painful relationship) to the Cry Baby, each pair of shoes tells a story. Sebastian is only too happy to fill in the blanks and clue you in on the woman behind the designs with the commentaries that accompany each pair.

9 Sexy 3D-Printed Heels That Objectify 9 Real Women (NSFW)

The technical process of 3D printing can lack a personal touch, so Sebastian Errazruiz decided to mine his romantic past for some—er—intimate creative inspiration. The designer-slash-artist has been working for a year to produce 12 Shoes for 12 Lovers, a series that quite literally objectifies a dozen former flames. Hrm.

Nike LunarENDOR Quickstrike Snowboard Boot: Lights on!

There have been only a few Nike shoes with LEDs, but these snowboard boots take the top prize, thanks to 30 LEDs implanted into the swoosh on each boot. You definitely won’t be invisible on your next night run down the slopes.

The Nike LunarENDOR Quickstrike Snowboard boot is powered by a built-in lithium ion battery, that’s controlled by a power button in the boot’s cuff. The boot comes with Lunarlon foam to improve the plushness of your ride. There’s a customizable flex line system, allowing you to choose between three levels of stiffness.

As you’d expect, all of this tech doesn’t come cheap. The regular LunarENDOR boots sell for $430(USD), so I can only imagine how much the Quickstrike LED model will sell for.
