Transcend has just added a new storage capacity to its SSD320 SSD line-up by launching the 512GB model. Just like the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models, the 512GB model is also equipped with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SandForce SF-2281 controller, a built-in ECC function, TRIM support and capable of delivering read and write speeds of up to 560MB/s and 530MB/s, respectively. The 512GB SSD320 will begin shipping from mid-April for 34,800 Yen (about $341). [Transcend]

Coming in 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB sizes, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) feature an aluminum metal body, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, TRIM support, NCQ and RAID ready and can deliver read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively. Intel has released a new line of SSDs, the SSD 730 Series. Coming in both 240GB and 480 capacities, these 2.5-inch SSDs are equipped with 20nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a MTBF of 1.2 million hours and can deliver read/write speeds of up to 550/270 MB/s (240GB) and 550/470 MB/s (480GB), respectively. The SSD 730 Series will begin shipping from March 18th for around $270 (240GB) and $500 (480GB), respectively. [Intel]

Here comes a new line of SSDs from OCZ, the Vertex 460. Available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities, these 2.5-inch SSDs are equipped with Toshiba’s 19mm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, an Indilinx Barefoot 3 M10 controller and can deliver transfer speeds of up to 550MB/s.
