Now, before you get too excited this chair is actually a replica of the original Star Trek’s Enterprise-D bridge captain chair. Apparently the original one was a little too worse for the wear and was recreated to go on tour to fan conventions with the rest of the set that makes up the Enterprise bridge.

The captain’s chair does have a list of celebrities that have sat in it since its creation including some Star Trek actors, Stan Lee and Weird Al. The chair is being sold because Huston Huddleston, the man who spearheaded the project to rebuild the Enterprise bridge, was not completely happy with some details of the chair’s creation and is having a new one built.

If you and your dog are trekkies, you may have some silly Star Trek pet items around your place already. A new Trek-inspired pet product has surfaced that looks like Captain Kirk’s seat from the original series.

This captain’s chair pet bed is much cooler than the transporter dog bed we talked about last year. The pet bed is suitable for dogs, cats, and little kids if they are so inclined. The bed features embroidered details on the arms and back of the chair. He’s already made a wax mold of the starship ring and is working on a making the design a reality. The two-finger Starfleet logo ring is pretty cool too – it’s designed to perfectly align your fingers into a vulcan salute.

These would have been perfect for Riker and Troi’s wedding. Or Worf and Dax. Or Quark and his latinum. I hope he makes a Klingon ring someday. That would be awesome. How do you make a Klingon ring, you ask? Just lure them into a standard orbit and fire away. The debris will make a ring around the planet.
