With a new Star Wars film expected to be released starting in 2015 and beyond, we’re sure you’re going to want to buy yourself a lightsaber, that is, if you already don’t own one already. You could head down to your local toy store or turn to the Internet to buy a lightsaber that’s been mass produced, or you could be a true Jedi / Sith Lord and obtain a completely unique lightsaber.

Roland Palotai creates a number of custom lightsabers that appear to be put together form various metals, like aluminum, and come with LEDs, switches leather accents and other features that make it as an authentic lightsaber as you could imagine. Desk Ewoks can be a serious problem. They are attracted by crumbs and spills from hundreds of late night gaming sessions with never a clean-up. Yeah, I’m surprised you haven’t seen them yet either. It’s just a matter of time. So how do you combat Desk Ewoks? You get yourself a AT-ST Desktop lamp, that’s what.

This Steampunk AT-ST Lamp was made by Gozdom using wood, bronze and copper overlays and looks pretty awesome. It’s made to resemble the AT-ST scout walker, but with a head that resembles the boiler of a steam locomotive.

Okay, so the Empire’s machines didn’t do so well against Ewoks and their primitive weapons on Endor, but at least you will have a fighting chance when the Desk Ewoks show up.

All may not be right in the galaxy now that Disney has pulled the plug on LucasArts, at least they’re currently working on a new Star Wars film which all of the original actors seem to be a part of. The last Star Wars film to be released was Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, which was released back in 2005, but it looks as though Disney is planning to release additional Star Wars films on a more regular basis.

Walt Disney Co.’s chairman Alan Horn  announced the news during CinemaCon they would begin to roll out Star Wars films starting in 2015 with main series films expected every other year, while in-between those main films we’ll see character-focused films. In other words, we can expect Star Wars: Episode 7 to be release in 2015, then a character-focused film in 2016, Episode 8 in 2017, and so on. (more…)
