Even though it’s still not quite finished, it’s ok to envy the toddler who’ll be riding off into the imaginary twin sunset aboard this AT-AT rocking horse. It’s being built by Epbot’s Jen and her husband, and so far over 40 individually cut pieces of MDF have gone into its construction.
Check out these football helmets from a galaxy far far away. They look a lot like the ones our players wear, only cooler, with more geek. They look amazing.
Illustrator John Raya created these cool mashups, with designs for all 32 NFL teams. Check them all out here and find your team. Hopefully your team isn’t the Redskins though. You got stuck with Jar Jar.
I wish this league really existed. I would love to see Star Wars characters battle each other on the field. Blasters and lightsabers are legal. Then again, I saw that once on Naboo and that didn’t turn out so well. This would be better. I think.

Rocking horses are so last century. Let your child rock with the might of the Empire with this Rocking AT-AT. How do you think General Veers got started? Start them young and they will pilot the Empire’s best vehicles and crush the rebellion.
Jen from EPBOT, along with her husband, are making this cute rocking AT-AT. The couple started with a template and cut over 40 pieces out of fiber board. The picture above is of their test assembly. It isn’t finished yet. They have to make sure it’s safe to ride and add paint, probably outfit it with some new Snowspeeder defenses. It looks amazing already.
It sure would look great alongside a tauntaun rocking horse.

Star Wars Chocolate Centerpiece: The Dessert that Made the Kessel Run in 12 Parsecs
Posted in: Today's ChiliAs cool as this Star Wars centerpiece is, I have to be honest. The texture of that chocolate looks a bit off-putting. At first I thought that the Falcon was trapped in an Imperial turd trap of some kind. Anyway, despite the unfortunately lumpy look of the chocolate, it is a cool piece.
Besides, chocolate never looks so bad that you won’t eat it right? This edible centerpiece was made by Cakes Cove. It has X-Wing Fighters on it too. I don’t what they are doing flying around this thing, but I’m sure it looked good on the center of the table. It needs some TIE Fighters though. Give those rebels something to shoot at.
You’re all clear, kid! Now let’s eat this thing and go home!

Panasonic Channels the Force with Star Wars Lumix Cameras and Notebook Covers
Posted in: Today's ChiliIt looks like Panasonic is flexing its Force powers since they have collaborated with Lucasfilm for these limited edition Star Wars Lumix DMC-X51 cameras and SX/NX notebook covers.
Fans can choose from over 30 designs featuring all of the characters that you know and love like R2-D2, Stormtroopers, Darth Vader and others. There are many designs to choose from and there is bound to be something for everyone.
The notebook covers sell for ¥12,800 Yen (~$125 USD), which seems a bit steep when you consider that ¥19,800 (~$193 USD) will buy you a complete Star Wars Lumix camera. I suppose it costs a lot to run the Empire.

We’ve really come a long, long way when it comes to special effects in movies. It makes sense that today’s movies look great because of all our computer whiz processing power animation software. Back in the old days though? We had to rely on the magic of the movies. Seriously. Turning scale models that look like toys that kids wouldn’t even want into gorgeous, timeless movie sequences takes real magic to pull off.
I will admit that it is rather cool to mix two beloved science fiction properties into one. Take this fan made artwork for instance. It has Chewbacca and wicket the Ewok standing on Endor. There is one major thing that’s a little out of place though – they are both wearing Starfleet uniforms.
The artist who made the illustration is Rey Paez and he made it with the Procreate app on the iPad. It’s a fun idea, but one thing that bothers me about the image is that while Wicket is in proper form with the proportions we remember from Return of the Jedi, Chewie looks just plain weird. In this image, he’s tall, thin, and has a rather phallic shape to him. Wookiees have been known to rip arms out of sockets if you call them a dick, so I won’t go that far.

It’s not as big or convoluted as Lego R2-D2, but this motorized astromech by Vimal Patel is really cool. Check it out in action:
Rocking Horse Tauntauns: I Want to Rock and Roll All Night and Party on Hoth Every Day!
Posted in: Today's ChiliThere is something special about old timey toys like rocking horses. They are simple and require a child to use their imagination. No fancy lights or voice activation here. Just good old fashioned play. Well, if you like the simplicity of the rocking horse, but want a geeky spin on it, look no further. I present to you the Tauntaun rocking horse.
They don’t smell like the real thing, thankfully and will provide hours of rocking fun, while you pretend that you are on Hoth. I’m not sure who made these, but they are awesome, and whoever did it needs to step forward so we can give them the credit they deserve.
Heck, I would use one of these as a chair and rock all day while I work. Kids shouldn’t have all the fun.

Jimmy aka 6kyubi6 made a working Star Wars-themed pinball machine using LEGO. Aside from its moving parts and different colored lights, the machine also has various minifigs and figures of Star Wars characters, including Luke, Darth Vader, Chewie, Artoo and even Jabba the Hutt.
Jimmy made the machine for a Brickpirate contest. Here’s a shot of the machine all lit up:
There’s a short video of the machine in action below, as well as more images of the pinball machine on his Flickr page.
