What you’re looking at is a carbon fiber drive shaft and a steel drive shaft being twisted with force until they break. As you can see in this torque test between the two, the carbon fiber shaft doesn’t budge (that’s not a still image, folks) while the steel shaft cork screws itself and becomes deformed under the same amount of twisting pressure. Gnarly.

On the list of comic book hero abilities I dream about magically waking up with one day, Wolverine’s claws were probably squeezed right between Superman’s flying and Bruce Wayne’s women. One of those have practically become reality. These steel Wolverine claws are so fantastically perfect that you could fight Wolverine himself with it. And maybe even win.

As a guy, I prefer a watch with a large face to one with a small one. Though I’m not sure I’d be comfortable wearing this beast. It’s a new watch from Diesel, called the Grand Daddy (model DZ7262), and it measures a ginormous 66mm x 73mm (~2.6″ x 2.87″).
The Grand Daddy offers four completely independent chronograph movements, so you can keep time in four different timezones at once – or better yet, run four different stopwatches simultaneously.
All of that mechanical glory is set into a black ion-plated steel case, with an anti-reflective, irridescent mineral crystal, and set onto a black leather strap. It’s also waterproof to 3ATM (~100 Feet).

For some reason, a Belarusian iron and steel mill made a calendar using its naked women workers. That’s sort of normal, I guess. But the iron and steel mill wanted to make sure anyone who saw this calendar knew it was theirs by superimposing images of melting metal, wire looms, burning steel, cables, fences and anything else you would never associate with a beautiful woman on their naked skin. I have a recurring nightmare about being attacked by some sort of creature with too many legs. I’m not sure if it’s from playing too many FPSes, or from reading about Cthulhu. Heck, maybe it’s from visiting the aquarium. Who knows. But if you’re not afraid to have some tentacles hanging around your bookshelf, then you’ll definitely want to check out these bookends.
