If you think that there’s no way baby masks would be anything but adorable, then think again.

That’s what I thought before I saw these masks by artist Landon Meier of Hyperflesh. And now that I’ve seen them, let me just say that they’re creepy as heck – even creepier than those scary clown masks that have haunted your nightmares ever since you were a kid.

I think the creep factor is brought about by the fact that the masks are designed to fit adults. That means they’re huge and, when worn, will turn anyone into a big, lumbering baby. The expressions don’t help either. Meier created three based on a baby’s common expressions: happy, crying, and disgusted. Suffice it to say, they all still look extremely creepy. There’s no other word for it.

They’re pretty expensive, too. Each mask is priced at $350(USD) and they can be bought over at Hyperflesh.

If you own a MacBook, then you’re probably thankful for its handy MagSafe, the magnetized power connector for your laptop’s charger. Not only does it make connecting the charger to your laptop insanely easy, it also detaches fairly easily. When you trip over the cord or yank it off forcefully, it won’t take your precious MacBook down with it. The Neo-Plug works just like the MagSafe, except it’s for mobile devices.

Invented by Jacob Brozek, the Neo-Plug takes its name from the neodymium magnets that connect its two parts together. Jacob’s design essentially divides the connector end of a charger or data cable into two parts. One end stays on the cable while the other end stays on the port of your mobile device. The magnets embedded on both halves connect the two parts effortlessly.

Brozek is seeking to raise $167,000(USD) on Kickstarter by May 8 to finish his product, but with such a good product I think he’ll raise more than that amount. As of now the Neo-Plug has three variants – micro-USB, 30-pin and Lightning. What the hell happened here? Did a Predator go hunting the Borg and take a trophy? Did the Borg assimilate a zombie? I have no idea. I just know that skulls are cool. Robot skulls are even better, and this hot, dead, robotic mess looks pretty bad-ass to me.

This skull is made from metal and has various tubes, a mohawk, a glowing LED eyeball, a Phillips head screw screwed through it’s face as if it were some robot right of passage and what appears to be head mounted lasers. Oh and some tubes that keep it all lubed up for some reason.

I love the wing nuts at the base, which would presumably tighten this thing down onto a body that is just as twisted. This mixed medium skull was made by horror sculpture artist Drakodarksydedesigns. Behold it’s awesomeness.

Do you frequently need to transfer or back up data from USB drives? Are you a spy? Well if you’re not one, what kind of job requires you to do that? Whatever it is you do, StarTech has a gadget that could serve you well. It can copy data from a USB drive and transfer it to up to two other USB drives simultaneously. And it can do that on its own, there’s no need to hook it up to a computer.

The Flash Drive Duplicator and Eraser can copy just the data stored in a USB drive or it can make a clone of the entire drive. The second feature is useful if you’re copying up a bootable back-up drive or a disk image. As its name implies, the device can also erase data from up to two USB drives at the same time using either a quick erase method or a slower, but more secure way that supposedly follows a standard set by the US Department of Defense. I feel ashamed that I don’t have any data that merits that kind of sophisticated death.

Aside from transferring data to a flash drive, you can also use the device to transfer data to a hard drive, a solid state drive and other storage devices like memory cards as long as you have the proper USB enclosure or reader for your storage device.
