If you listened with your eyes closed, you’d think this was just a video of someone playing Super Mario Bros on a vintage Nintendo. But there’s not a controller in sight. Just 48 wine glasses and a frying pan. Dan Newbie of YouTube, you’re a maestro of the kitchen.
Ever wonder what Super Mario does when he’s not running across your screen kicking Koopa Troopas? Filmmaker John Huffnagle shows us what everyone’s favorite plumber might do if left alone in your house. Long story short: Don’t let Mario out of your sight.
Times are tough for Nintendo. The Wii U is not selling very well. So maybe it is time to focus on old school games that don’t require a screen. Nintendo hasn’t ventured into the world of Connect 4 yet, so why not? I present to you Super Mario Connect 4.
Connect 4 is a classic kids game. Now it gets a Mario makeover. That should be enough reason for any Nintendo fanboy to buy it to play with their kids. The game features Mario and Luigi faces on the checkers. Play a quick game between Mario Kart races to decide who gets the best drivers or just play to determine which brother is best, Mario or Luigi.
Super Mario Connect 4 is coming this spring, and you can get it for just $25(USD).

Now you can enjoy your favorite Italian plumber in all three dimensions with this 3D printed original Super Mario figure. It’s a me, Super Mario in 3D. No glasses required.
Designed by 0fps, this 3D printed action figure represents the old school pixelated Mario from the original Super Mario Bros. game. Basically anyone who grew up playing these games must have this figure. It sells for $31.18(USD) when printed in color as shown here, but you can also order him in a variety of other materials, including metals.
Now if we can just get a few more characters to go with him, our desktop Mushroom Kingdom will be complete.

Etsy artist H2retrO has created a unique aquarium. This aquarium not only resides inside of a gumball machine, but it is also Super Mario themed. Or at least it’s got a couple of Mario figurines sitting inside it.
The downside to this thing is that you can’t put a gold coin in it and get some gum, but the upside is that you have a pretty unique aquarium that will impress your friends. It even lights up. It looks like Mario and Toad are working together to complete the underwater level.
The entire piece stands just over three feet-tall, but the aquarium itself isn’t very big, so if you buy it, I would suggest you only put one small fish inside. You’ll have to get your gum elsewhere.
Listen to this young girl playing her sheng, a Chinese instrument invented thousands of years ago. The woodwind may be ancient, but the sound is pure 1980s nostalgia—it’s the Super Mario Brothers theme, right down to the sounds of Mario collecting coins and mushrooms. Amazing!
This Super Mario themed drum kit was built by Josh Fry and it looks amazing. I can see Mario, Luigi, the Princess and even Toad all rocking out together.
Now Josh just needs some other Mario themed instruments and he can get a band together. They could call themselves the Peach Cobblers, or the Toadies, or Plumber’s Tape. It would sound great and for their finishing act, they could all disappear down a warp pipe.
Can I be your manager, Josh? I’ll only take 50% and demand that you lose that talentless brother of yours, Luigi.

If you want to announce your love of Super Mario Bros. to your guests before they even enter your home, you need this doorbell. YouTube user Joe Tsai designed this Mario themed doorbell that chimes with the sound of coin collecting from the game.
When a guest presses the button, the counter ticks upward and it makes the familiar coin-collecting noise. Special sounds like play at certain intervals too. Every 10 coins, it makes the 1up sound, and every 100 coins you get a mushroom upgrade. Sweet.
If you want to build one yourself Joe has a tutorial to help you out. Make one and put it on your door now.
It’s the next best thing to a Mario voice saying, “It’s a me! Mario!”

You don’t have to decorate the entire nursery in geek themes you know. Just a few touches here and there should be enough. In fact an adorable and nerdy mobile is all you need. It is a great way to teach your children about the characters you geek out over.
Etsy artist Drops of Color has just the mobile for you and your little gamer in training. Well, the seller offers several mobiles that are equally awesome. All made by hand with small felt plush characters. The Super Mario Bros. one is completely adorable, but the superhero ones are pretty cool too – and they teach your kids that DC and Marvel heroes can live in harmony.
Each mobile comes with five characters, and you can pick which ones you want. Each mobile is made to order and takes about 8 to 10 weeks to arrive at your doorstep. Be sure to stop by their shop and check out some of the other mobiles for sale.

Super Mario Happy Meal Toys from Mcdonald’s Japan: You Deserve a Break Today
Posted in: Today's ChiliMan, I am so sick of Japan getting all of the cool stuff and us Americans getting not so cool stuff. Like this. This is the line of Super Mario toys that McDonald’s will be giving away in Japan’s Happy Meals. What are we going to get in the US? Probably some Barbie toy or something. It’s just not fair. Why does God love Japan so much more?
All of these Mario toys either play music or perform an action (described in the badly Google translated text above), which is all the more reason to be sad. They are not just figures that stand there doing nothing.
The toys will be given away in Happy Meals starting on November 22nd, and are expected to run out in about three weeks. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking up the price of airline tickets to Japan. Holy Hogwarts! Have you seen those prices? I’m just going to play with my crappy American toys and save myself a couple thousand bucks.
