Iron Man 3 Mouse: It’s Not the Armor that Makes the Mouse, but the Circuits Inside

If Tony Stark didn’t use gesture and voice commands to operate his computer system, he’d surely use this mouse to tell Jarvis what to do.

The Iron Man 3 mouse is made by Hong Kong’s E-BLUE accessories and is designed to look just like Iron Man’s Mark XIII armored helmet. The shiny red and gold mouse even has light-up LED eyes. The wireless 3-button mouse itself offers 1000dpi resolution, and has a scroll wheel cleverly integrated into the top of Iron Man’s helmet.

Retail price for the Iron Man 3 mouse is 599 Yuan (~$97 USD). No word on when you’ll be able to find this limited-edition mouse outside of Asia, but they’ll probably start popping up on eBay sooner or later.

See Tony Stark’s Hall of Armors and Be Iron Man at Disneyland Innoventions

Don’t tell Mandarin, but Tony Stark relocated his Hall of Armors to Disneyland’s Innoventions area in Tommorowland for the meantime. But being the carefree dude that he is, Tony is actually letting people into the exhibit. Either that or the security at Disneyland is a lot tougher than I thought.

As you walk through the room, Tony’s virtual butler JARVIS will tell you all about the various armors, including the Mk. XLII that will be featured in the upcoming Iron Man 3. Speaking of armors, you’ll also be able to put on one of his suits through an augmented reality interface. Here’s a brief tour of the exhibit taken by YouTuber mrdaps:

Again, the exhibit will only be up for a limited time, so visit the park ASAP before Tony decides to hide his armor somewhere else.

Captain America Cupcakes: Cuptain Americake

Out of all of the Avengers, Captain America is probably my least favorite. But he might be able to win me over with some of his awesome cupcakes. You know they are the most direct way to a man’s heart.

These perfectly patriotic superhero treats were made by Hundred and Thousands Cupcakes. While I personally love the ones that are formed in the shape of Captain America’s head and winged cowl, the shields are pretty great too. Though you probably couldn’t bounce any bullets off of them.

Iron Man 3 Flash Drives Power Up

Comic book geeks are perhaps the single greatest consumer of themed flash drives. If you’re a fan of Iron Man and are looking forward to the third movie in the franchise hitting theaters this summer, it may be time to you to start stocking up on some collectible flash drives. Three Iron Man 3 flash drives are coming out just in time for the blockbuster flick to arrive.

I happen to think the coolest of the three is Iron Man’s Repulsor hand. When the flash drive is plugged into the USB port, the light in the center of the hand that Iron Man uses as a weapon glows blue. Another cool drive in the trio looks like Tony Stark’s Arc Reactor, complete with a little animated light show when plugged in:

The third branded flash drive looks like the red, white and blue Iron Patriot head. All of the flash drives have retractable USB ports and are available with 8 GB or 16 GB of storage. While I haven’t found them in the U.S. yet, you can pre-order the Arc Reactor and the Repulsor Hand over at Australia’s Mighty Ape now.

Iron Man T-Shirt with Light-up Arc Reactor: Cotton Man

To all the people who keep on asking me for instructions on building a replica of Iron Man’s arc reactor (or Wonder Woman’s invisible jet): a) my offer was clearly a joke, b) for the millionth time, I didn’t make the arc reactor, this guy did and c) you’d be better off buying this T-shirt from ThinkGeek. It’s a black t-shirt with a chest-mounted light that looks like the arc reactor in Iron Man 3.

Unlike Tony Stark’s arc reactor, the one on this t-shirt doesn’t provide power. In fact it needs three AAA batteries for it just to light up. The chest panel is connected to a battery box via a cable, but I don’t know where the battery box is located. I hope it’s not too big that you’ll have to tuck it into your pants pocket or something.

You can order the t-shirt from ThinkGeek for $30 (USD). No instructions or assembly required.

Nike Lebron X Custom Jaded Hulk Sneakers: HULK SMASH!

If you haven’t tried on some Nike LeBron X, then you’re missing out on some super-comfortable shoes. That being said, if you’re looking for something unique, and Nike ID doesn’t do it for you, check out these customs. They are quite amazing.

The Nike LeBron X Jaded Hulk custom sneaker uses a “Cutting Jade” colorway as its base. From there on, sneaker customizer Chef from GourmetKickz included Bruce Banner’s torn garments and a gradient on the side panels and midsole. A purple tongue with custom insoles complete the look.

The Jaded Hulk customs don’t come cheap. You’ll have to pay $700(USD) and wait approximately 5 to 6 months for your sneakers. I’m sure that S.H.I.E.L.D. can afford to buy you a pair.

Iron Man + TRON = TRON Man

We’re all about superheroes around here today, and why not end the night with something truly awesome? What you’re looking at here is a cool Iron Man helmet design, dressed up with TRON-style electroluminescent lighting.

iron man tron

It was made by Sauer33, and it is truly a sight to behold (at least in the dark). He created the helmet design for an Instructables contest, though I’ve yet to be able to find the full gallery of pics. I’m guessing it’s not yet live on the site. Regardless, if I saw Iron Man flying through the night sky wearing this, I’d definitely feel even more intimidated. Just look at those red eyes. And that strong yellow jawline.

Given Tony Stark’s propensity for the theatrical, there’s no way he would turn down the opportunity to wear one of these helmets. The only thing better would be an entire set of light-up armor. I’m sure Mr. Stark could afford to build one.

Spider-Beard, Spider-Beard, Does Whatever a Spider-Beard Does…

For the first time in my many years, I’ve started to grow a little bit of a beard. But it’s more of a Miami Vice, Don Johnson five-o-clock shadow thing than a real, manly beard. On the other hand, this guy has this facial hair thing nailed…

Chad Roberts took home both the Best-in-Show and Freaky Funky Free Style award at the 2nd Annual Garden State Beard & ‘Stache Competition (yes, there is such a thing) vanquishing his many hairy foes with the ultimate Spider-Man beard.

I wonder if he had to spin some webs of various sizes to hold that thing in place like that.

Super Endorsements: When Superheroes Get Sponsored

Every celebrity’s got one. An endorsement deal, that is. But celebs aren’t the only ones who are cashing in by striking a pose and wearing branded shirts or shoes these days. Athletes, businessmen, and even socialites are getting endorsement deals left and right, and they’re all richer because of it.

Even superheroes are getting into the act. That is, if Italian artist Roberto Vergati Santos had his way.

Branded Superheroes

He created a series of images, entitled ‘Sponsored Heroes’, which features superheroes selling out their costumes to cover them with brand logos. He’s done them pretty tastefully and with good humor, too. I personally like the Hulk’s design the best because it fits him in more ways than one.

Funny thing is, most superhero movies are loaded with product placement deals these days already, so it’s only a matter of time before their costumes bear brand logos too.

You can check out more of Roberto’s work in his gallery on Behance.

Marvel Circus Coming to a Town Near You: Clowns to Get Superpowers

Forget traditional circuses. That is so last century. What we need is a traveling show full of comic book legends. Well ask, and ye shall receive – Marvel has teamed up with Feld Entertainment to give us just that.

marvel circus

The two are making a $10 million investment into this idea. Feld has a lot of experience in this area. They have already produced Disney On Ice and Ringling Bros. So they know what they are doing when it comes to stuff under the Big Top. Really, how can you lose when you throw Superheroes into the mix?

The possibilities are endless here too. Think about how much mythology they have to work with. Maybe we will see classic storylines played out. Then again, maybe we will see the Hulk swinging from a trapeze, and Captain America with a clown nose. I hope not – I think this could be a great idea if done right.
